Simply world class cocktails, and a Katsu sandwich that genuinely may be the best sandwich in DC.

Wow. The team at Hive Hospitality have absolutely nailed this creative cocktail concept. The drinks, the snacks, and the vibes are perfect. I will be here often and have no doubt every experience will be joyous.

The fact that Press Club is running as smoothly as it is just days after opening is an incredible testament to the ability of the whole team. The food and drinks are some of the best I’ve had in any bar anywhere!

Great selection of vinyls. Their drinks are from another world so don't expect generic cocktails. Maitake mushrooms tempura and wagyu flank steak were perfectly cooked. Had the pleasure of opening one of their fine Armagnac with Will. I appreciate the passion they put into giving us such a unique experience through sight, sound, and taste.

This was fine dining in lovely surroundings. It was very quiet when we dined, but that meant we got lots of attention.
eserve dinner at the Press Club. See the Museum and eat good food and wine at a very reasonable cost
We were looking for dinner, and I found this place on TripAdvisor. It looked pretty good, so we gave it a try. Tips: DO look at the various pictures along the walkway in. DO ask for help - you enter the foyer for the press club, and then take a right to go to the restaurant. DO bring your patience as there are some self-absorbed people who also eat here. Service was attentive, and the food was okay. What I mean by okay is my sirloin steak wasn't as good as some chain stores - the quality wasn't there. My wife's scallops were wonderful - prepared properly and just right. The wine list isn't anything to get excited about - it is limited. After dinner, we wrapped it up with their Chocolate Mousse, which rounded out the meal nicely. TIP: This is buried on the top floor of a building. It isn't easy to get to, but is worth the effort. Not a lot of signage to get you there, but if you ask the security folks, you get good directions.

The history and presence was phenomenal. The service was amazing - the food was really good and priced well given the entire r patience!
The National Press Club is an historic venue. It was worth the visit for that reason. Lots of plaques, a few pictures of interest, and otherwise your basic building with musty carpeting. Parking around the corner (none there) was $27 for two hours. But, what would you expect from the city that gave you $1500 screwdrivers? Catered food for the event was "OK".
Drove two hours to D.C to have a nice, nostalgic, dinner with style and ambiance, the restaurant had neither. Full disclosure, I was an associate member of the Club in the 80s and continued to dine and attend Newsmaker luncheons in the 90s and early 2000s. . The manager was dressed only in rumbled yellowish shirt with tie and ill fitting trousers, the waiters, the same. I was very noisy. In fairness, the food was very good. The service marginal at best. But, if you expect the classic, elegant ambiance that was a Club hallmark, you will be sadly disappointed. I booked the dinner thrugh this web site’s weekly Top Twenty deals. I hope trip advisor will do more comprehensive background checks in the future
You definitely feel you are in a special place when you enter this building. The elevator whisks you up to the 14th floor, where the walls are full of magnificent exhibits...awards, photography, etc. Everyone's meal was exceptional, except mine, which I would rates as very good. It was a filet, and I had to work hard on parts of it because of the gristle. The waiter goofed up a wine pour, and it seemed like our meals took a long time to come. Overall a good experience.
At a convention in DC and had a great dinner event at the National Press Club. Loads of history and lovely rooms. The staff/service were excellent and professional. The food was great the dance floor was made it a great party with "the Original Moonlighters" for the live band
