I recently attended a private party at Prima DC and had a wonderful experience. The venue was the perfect size for our gathering—intimate yet spacious enough to feel comfortable. The staff was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the food and drinks were excellent. The DJ set the perfect vibe with music that kept everyone enjoying themselves all night. The only suggestion I’d offer is to consider adding misting fans on the rooftop deck during warmer months, as the heat made it difficult to stay outside for long.

Prima DC was a great place to celebrate Galentine's Day with a couple of friends. The comedians were witty and funny, the drinks were delicious and the ambiance is friendly.

I went on Saturday night for the bachata dancing presented by El Teteo. The bachata dancing was excellent, the place is small with a very strong Spanish vibe, Dominican Republic I think. I was little disappointed that there was no salsa. The crowd is very young mid 20 to early 30. Definitely got the impression that it is a spot for regulars. Dancing doesn’t start until 11 pm. It’s too young for my taste but an excellent place to see how DR bachata is done mixed with some African dance. I didn’t get a chance to try the food but overall a very good experience.

Gorgeous space and has lovely staff. I found it difficult to locate since they don’t have proper signage to grab patrons' attention. Happy Hour deals are legit but don’t arrive to arrive because you’ll be one of few occupying the space.

The space has a cute vibe that has everything covered from the cocktails to the music.I had the opportunity to try a couple of the cocktails and the Smokey Sunset stole my heart. The various chicken options provided ranged from wings to chicken sliders. I was thoroughly impressed by the salt & vinegar wings because it was a new take on a classic finger food. There is a weekly karaoke night, so make to check out their IG page for specific times.

I was happy to come by and check out this new spot in the city. I was curious to see what this lounge had to offer. Here are some thoughts:EnvironmentPrima might be hard to miss if it weren't for a sign on the door that leads you upstairs to a cozy intimate space filled with plenty of seating, a bar and an outside area for the cooler evenings. They also have a larger bar/restaurant downstairs (didn't get a chance to check it out). The vibe was set as soon as you enter the space - music playing, bar active and conversation flowing through out the venue. While you're treating yourself to a drink they also have a variety of games you can play from mancala to jenga to uno etc. The space is small and seems to be great place for happy hour. I would love to see what its like during a packed night. I will also say that it gets really warm in the space with a lot of people - i was lucky enough to have a seat at the bar right next to the ac but that could be an issue if a ton of people are there. Overall the space was nice and casual and a great place for drinks.ServiceThe bartenders were all great and attentive and made sure that I had what I needed. They were friendly and personable and had great energy for the space. They also controlled the playlist for that evening and didn't disappoint.Food and DrinksDidn't get a chance to try all of the food but there were a few options. The chicken tenders were okay. Nothing special - lives up to the usual bar food expectation. The wings were pretty good especially the garlic parmesan. I would definitely come back for those. The drinks were pretty good. I tried the smokey sunset that was good and refreshing and I also purchased my own old fashion that were solid for a lounge.OverallWe had a good time at Prima Lounge. The space was comfortable and cozy and seemed like it would be a good time for an evening out or an happy hour. The food was fine and the drinks were solid. I would definitely visit again with friends.
