Place was busy for HH, so wait staff did not show up. However the manager/host stepped up to the plate and helped us. We were able to order drinks before HH was over. The sound was thunderous. Hard for a table of 6 to hear each other. Once HH patrons left, it was easier on the ears. Very typical for a popular HH destination. Food was great! Along with the service. Be aware there is a 5% waitstaff charge added to the bill. (pay your staff better, customers should not have to pay this charge) We were a party of 6, so 20% was added as tip. The 20% tip should have been added the final tab food and drink tab, and not on top of the 5% restaurant charge and the taxes. Very tricky math.

Had a great pre-flight last dinner in DC and everything was delicious! We were lucky enough to eat during happy hour where we had great deals on our drinks and noticed different happy hour offerings were available each night of the week. Wings, Birria egg rolls, and beef bulgogi all came out exceptionally fast and each a hit at our table.

Great food for 6 out of 7. One burger was more raw than medium but my son was too young to tell us until too late. Wish the tables were not so wobbly.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There was a little confusion over Meal distribution, but it all worked out and the food was very good. A very elegant and nice sports bar.

Ordered the fish and chips and it was horrible. Had a bitter taste like the fish was bad. I have had beer battered fish and chips. This was not it. The manager was very nice. Service was subpar due to inadequate staffing. Would not return.

It's been quite a long time since I can say that the entire staff was committed to excellent service. Proper 21 has this figured out! The food was ok but the service was a standout, from everyone!

Went there for short rib, it was discontinued. Gout sausage and pasta and came with almost no sausage. Only thing good was burger my daughter got.

The Sunday brunch menu was sublimely delicious with satisfying portions. (The French Toast will change your life!) The staff was engaged and courteous and the restaurant itself presents even better than the photos on the website. I look forward to returning again soon. Well done!

As always, I had a great experience at this Proper location. My server Mia was wonderful! She was friendly and also great at her job. On top of that, the rest of the staff was amazing and the food was delicious. I will no doubt be here again in the near future!
