The most polite service I’ve had in recent memory. Absolutely no issues with the food. Prices a little high, but I’d definitely support again. Amazing shrimp grits

I wish I could share photos but me and my girl vacuumed this food up. The fact that this place had no line is insane to me. We got the shrimp etouffee which was delicious. But that bread pudding was one of the best things ive ever eaten in my life, we had to go back for seconds. It was soft, warm, and not too sweet.. it left a warm feeling in my chest. The owner is doing Gods work with that bread pudding.

The shrimp and grits were amazing. My first time trying soul food and I loved it. The service was so friendly and fast. I got to try a sample of the food and I’m so glad they asked me. I’m going to be thinking about this place until I come back to D.C.

Shrimp and grits!!! Nothing else needs to be said, but I’ll say it. Creamy, cheesy, shrimp are large & great quality that you can taste. Lemon tea has a great balance and tang to it! Would definitely return! Customer service was great! I’ll update once I taste the bread pudding! 👀

I stopped by while in DC because their bread pudding was all the rage on social media and it sure lived up to it! It was so delicious!! And the ice cream on top is a must. Can’t wait to be back!

The étouffée with fried shrimp is to die for. It was my first time eating étouffée and the lady was so nice to let me try a sample first. One sip of that sauce and I was SOLD. So much flavour with a hint of spice, it went so well with the rice. The crunchiness of the fried shrimp just completed the whole package. So so good!

If your looking to use the restroom right afterwards then this is a great spot for you! It never fails. Oh and not to mention the bread pudding was so old that I had to leave this review. Owner needs to be present smh

The food was good but etouffee had too much salt for me. Really friendly owners though!

Puddin' delivers on its promise of authentic Southern comfort food. I tried Shrimp Étouffée for the first time and I loved it! It's the perfect spot to grab a delicious and satisfying meal in the heart of Union Market.
