I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was excellent. We stayed in an airbnb so we ventured over to Union Market each day to try a new vendor. While the portions may look smaller, the size is deceiving! I was impressed with the amount of shrimp that was included. I would definitely go back to try one of their desserts. This is a bit pricier vendor, so keep that in mind before making your final selection.

After stopping by and visiting with the gal behind the counter, I knew this was my spot. She was great (wish I would have gotten her name). Ordered the shrimp po boy with a side of red beans and rice. Po Boy was a little different than what I was used to in the south, but very good. Shrimp were perfectly cooked. Red beans and rice was awesome. Now...to desert!!!! The bread puddin' is by far, and I mean by far, the best I've ever had. I really wish I would have started with desert so I could have had more. While waiting for my meal, she provided tastings of some of the other offerings and everything was excellent. If in DC, this is a really cool place with a wide variety of food offering, but I'd definitely hit up Puddin'!

Got the shrimp and grits and the jambalaya. Both were really good and filling. I would recommend the shrimp and grits though. The staff were very warm and welcoming.
Always a 10!!! Best bread puddin’ I’ve ever had!

Ordered two red beans and rice. All we got was a bowl of rice with some brown water no meat no sausage just a big bowl of rice with a little bit of beans and some brown sauce. Very disappointed for $35. I was expecting a lot more. Make sure you check the bowl before you leave make sure you get your moneys worth.

Yesterday I ordered the shrimp Po boy. The sandwich is delicious! Served on this exquisite roll that is chewy and crusty on the outside and just perfect for the sandwich. Shrimp fried perfectly and the sauce delicious. My only drawback is there are four shrimp on a $15 sandwich. At least give us six shrimp.

Etouffee - Seafood Stew with Veggies & Rice. You get to pick shrimp or crawfish. I went with crawfish & they're pretty big and juicy. Overall, it's a pretty good dish but it's heavy & butter overload.
Brown Butter Bourbon Bread Puddin' - Their best seller. It is a tad bit too sweet but delicious. Definitely worth trying.

I am writing this review solely on the fact that I came to this establishment right before closing and they gave my husband and I scraps. I returned the food and still did not get a refund. Overall a bad experience and I will not be returning.
