Our food was amazing! We ate in the outdoor seating of Union Market and enjoyed our etouffee with rice and fried shrimp and grits. The sweet tea was delicious. The desert… OMG. Next time we are in DC, Puddin will be a must!

Situated in a buzzing food hall, this place still manages to stand out.The staff are just great; so friendlyandhelpful. They allowed me to sample everything before deciding what to have. But even then, it was so difficult because everything was delicious.

Best gumbo I’ve ever had outside NOLA and potentially within NOLA. None of the ingredients were over cooked and they were generous with the shrimp and andouille.

Excellent food and customer service. It was greatly appreciated will definitely be back to visit. Highly recommend the Brown Butter Burbon Bread puddin’ it was soooo good! And the shrimp and beef sausage gumbo mixed with the red beans and rice….Amazing ladies

A controversial opinion.. the dish is delicious, but the cost of the ingredients used for this dish is very cheap (beans, rice, sausage (just a few slices, to be exact, 3-4 pieces) and some steamed vegetables), and the cost of the dishes is too high.As for me, I was glad to try, but nothing more.

The bourbon bread pudding was delicious. I was visiting my best friend and she recommended it to me. The first day she took me there, I got the smallest size . It was so delicious. I went back the day after and got the medium. I was tempted to get the large . The reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 is the service. There are 2 ladies that weren't very friendly. They were sarcastic, which was odd . Because I was smiling and being friendly. Either way, I hope you have a better experience and enjoy the delicious bread pudding.

The service was not good this time after receiving the order I asked for more juice to go on my rum flavored pudding, they refused to serve me.Now granted I come here multiple times a month. What a turn off for someone such as myself who comes here often. So long for a while puddin!!!??☹️

So I’m going to start off with the pros: I tried the etouffee, gumbo, po boy and bread pudding. The etouffee was delicious, to me. I enjoyed it. The gumbo is decent, not sure what I don’t care for about it, maybe this style just doesn’t suite my palate. The po hoy, delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp po boy. The bread pudding the first time as great! I was like wow, this is amazing. I’ve had it twice after and it just wasn’t like the first. I would say this needs better quality control so that it is consistently the same. The second time I had it, I felt I was eating bread drenched in the whiskey. The taste of alcohol was too strong, and it was like I got the scraps that were left in the bottom of the pan. This place has the potential to be greater, it’s already pretty great. Just needs some fine tuning, like most other places.
