The outdoor seating is great and the location in Dupont is great. Service was friendly and mostly good (sometimes they forgot to come back with water, etc). Unfortunately, the pizzas were lacking in flavor and high in sogginess, and did not resemble Neapolitan pizzas other than the shape. Toppings were poor quality and taste despite being sufficiently abundant. We tried two different red pizzas, both were less enjoyable than cafeteria pizzas. We will not be returning despite the very convenient location for us.

This place is so close to being a 5 star. I feel terrible for having to make it a 4, just on the service alone. The waitstaff was incredibly kind, but there was something going on, they were very unorganized and not just with us. They brought out our food and then said they would be back with silverware but never came, then they forgot the table next to us all together until they flagged them down. Honestly I feel bad as nobody was intentionally doing anything service wise wrong, they just didn't have the dance down to a science. Now onto what makes it almost a 5 was the food. Oh my goodness the Margarita style pizza was absolutely divine. I also ordered the Napoli Salad, which was awesome and flavorful. They have outside and inside dining, it is such a cute spot on the corner. I am going to be dreaming of this pizza before I head back to D.C.

Tried to eat here at 8.20 on a Thursday and was turned away because « the employees wanted to go home early ». Don’t say you close at 9 if you really close at 8.20.

Definitely come here for the pizza and not really anything else. The starters we got were a little underwhelming but the star of the show was their pizza.

Had dinner at this place recently. the service was good. it was easy to find a space as walk in. its more of a family place with most other tables were filled with families with kids --which i personally dont mind. the kitchen is open kitchen and you can see the chefs making the pizzas --which i like. it was a clean place. the food wise- we as a group tried both a red sauce, and a white sauce pizza. we didnt like either so much. the red sauce was too watery and the white sauce was too milky/creamy. although i really liked the dough. we truly loved all the appetizers tho. Although they were all fried, the sampler was perfect to share amongst the group. I dont think i ll come back here for the pizza, but I may come back for a drink and the appetizers

Our last night in DC and we had a great experience at Pupatella!! The Margherita and Classica pizzas were just what we wanted. The service was great and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. They went above and beyond when we asked if they had honey to dip our crusts in and they got us some! Seriously delicious and highly recommend!

Pizzas arrived almost 90 minutes after ordering, and they’re cold. The delivery guy said “They really screwed me over.” I don’t even know what he meant, but I have two cold pizzas and I’ve wasted $50.

Small portions! We had 2 appetizers and a whole pizza and we were still really hungry. The pizza is super thin. Atmosphere was questionable.. we had a drunk couple in front of us kissing and dry humping each other. We also had a sugar daddy with a young Asian woman who looked 18 at most. A table full of drunk women that were super noisy and kept yelling "please please please". Will probably not come back. Service was 10/10 though :))
