This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in DC! This place offers fast and friendly service! I love the food and employees. The owners play authentic music and they stream Ethiopian videos at the bar! It helps me connect with their culture!

I used to live near DC and discovered Ethiopian food and loved it. So when I visited my daughter this winter, eating Ethiopian food was #1 (after visiting the African American Museum) on my list. This restaurant did not disappoint. We ordered a sampler plate, my favorite was the traditional lentil dish. When I told the waiter, he brought out extra for us! Needless to say, the service was wonderful too. I asked the waiter for a traditional tea which he brought me and it was so...

Relaxed environment, vegan options. The serving we received didn't seem as generous as in the photos we saw that other people had posted, but we didn't go hungry. The food tasted fine, but the flavors weren't as rich as we've enjoyed elsewhere.
