Better ramen than Mecha. Miso was excellent, shio wasn’t one I’d get again. Noodles were very good, nice bounce and texture. The pork really stood out, very flavorful and tender. Didn’t love the runny, cold egg and would have preferred a marinated hard boiled egg. Will go back for the miso and to try the tsukemen! Very happy about having this in the neighborhood.
I’m inflating my rating because this area has few legit Japanese spots, but this is one. Mecha serves pan-Asian and is so so for ramen. And WTF Jinya with their giant piece of exoticized Asian female art work.

The vegan ramen is absolutely delicious. The broth is creamy and I didn’t feel the urge to douse everything with sriracha or soy sauce due to lack of flavor. I’d highly recommend you try it!! It was absolutely perfect for a chilly December day.
Vegetarian options: Vegan miso ramen!!
Dietary restrictions: Vegan friendly
Parking: Parking is free for 3 hours at a garage just around the corner.

Came here on a Friday at 5 when they opened. Service was very nice but not overwhelming. My server Bo was amazing and top of everything including letting us know how they do rotating sushi.

Bring back the pork ramen, also hate how the dude tried to gaslight me and say they didn’t have it. Go to Mecha around the corner much better anyways.
The response is straight up rude like the guy working there, terrible salesman. It does sound like a miscommunication but with so many other good places on DC I won’t be back.
Excellent place to come and enjoy a delicious sushi with your family

Has anyone who’s reviewed this place actually had Ramen before?? I don’t know where to even begin with how bad this place’s Ramen is.
First off, it smells of urine. 2nd, it’s the least flavorful Ramen broth I’ve ever had. 3rd, both the pork and chicken are like rubber. I’ve had better Ramen in the state of Wisconsin of all places.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. Gross. Borderline repulsive.

This is easily the best kept secret at Union Market - maybe also the best secret Ramen in DC??? I was there again this past weekend and also tried the noodles (cold) - incredible! The worst part about going to this place is deciding between all the great options on the menu. Staff is very friendly and nice too. I'm not sure if the Japanese guy is the owner or not, but he is very friendly and helpful, a true gem that really helps make the experience.
