Rania delivers a slow burn of culinary delight. While the initial courses were good, they steadily improved, culminating in a truly exceptional Hay-Aged Rohan Duck Vindaloo. Food is great and the preparation/plating is unique and impressive! Delicious food and great service + ambiance, too. Portions are fairly substantial on the pris fixe menu so come hungry!
One tip: it’s a bit hard to get a reservation here but the night we went, there was good availability at the high-top tables by the bar, as well as at the bar itself.
Everything was so delish. The flavors were poppin and the plating was beautiful. The kesari mango dessert was my favorite.

Rania was my first Michelin Star experience of 2025, and my friend's first experience to a nice dinner out. It did not disappoint.
Reservations were a breeze to make online, and I opted for the chefs tasting. Would highly recommend getting the 7 course meal. But be warned. Come hungry. It is/was a lot of food.
The service here was excellent, as you would expect from a Michelin restaurant. The food was even better. The chef was also gracious enough to accommodate my dairy issues. He made sure to come up with some creative off menu items sans milk.
If you are ever in DC and would like to have some unqiue upscale Indian make sure to stop into Rania. Your taste buds will thank you.
