Wonderful experience! They went above and beyond to help us celebrate my father's 70th birthday. Highly recommend this restaurant for celebrations and special occasions!
Great restaurant. Ismael took great care of us with great recommendations. We've been there before and we will be there again.
Great experience. We loved everything about it, from the time we got there till the time we left. It was great.
Outstanding and professional staff, outstanding steaks! General Manager Martin Knanik was very professional and very knowledgeable on the variety of steaks offered.
The service was pretty good but the steak was very tough and fatty. Several of ours were overcooked when we asked for medium rare. For the price I would not return.
Excellent food & excellent service. Very good experience, high above other steakhouses we've tried in the area. We will be back. The only thing missing is au gratin potatoes as a side option.
I had such a wonderful experience at RARE Steakhouse & Tavern! The vibe is warm and inviting, and the staff made me feel so welcome from the moment I walked in. My steak was cooked perfectly—juicy, flavorful, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in a while. The sides and cocktails were just as delicious. It’s the kind of place that feels relaxed but still special, and I’d definitely come back for another great meal!

This was the best steak I have ever had... and our server was excellent as well! Great oysters, martinis and wine! Will definitely return when I am back in the DC area.
Medallion and mushrooms risotto were perfect.

Amazing food. Had the japanese waygu. Great service
The only that I liked was free bread and steak. Whatever you do stay away from the lobster bisque it taste like soap and sour.

The bison strip was excellent with the mashed potatoes and carrots.

Thoroughly enjoyed! The bread was a great start, cocktails were excellent (espresso martini, manhattan, chocolate martini), & we had a Tomahawk steak for 2. Mashed potatoes & mushroom side (not the special, the menu option). We loved it all, & capped it off with a creme brulee. Our server was great, attentive, & friendly! We will definitely be back!
