Red Light Bar & Detroit Pizza

My favorite pizza spot in DC. As someone who frequents Detroit, this pizza is on par with the best pizza places there. The pepperoni pizza is our favorite and is delicious.

Yummy Detroit style pizza. However, where does this restaurant get off automatically charging 20% gratuity/service charge? You walk up to the bar to order, grab a number, find a seat (if you can, you’ll be lucky if they clear it for you) and then they drop off your food. And you have to get your own drinks/water/to-go container. There is zero service involved! $56 for 1 salad and 1 pizza, side of ranch is kinda nuts!

The happy hour special of pepperoni pizza for $12 was delicious. I'll definitely be back. The wait staff were kind and welcoming.

Plus they have the best playlist ever! The music is amazing 🤩

After extensive research, I would consider them to be the premiere purveyors of Detroit Style Pizza. Everything on the menu is excellent, you can't go wrong.

Beer is tasteless, Coke tastes like tap water. When you pay and select NO TIP, they put a 20% check anyway. Also, you give a tip to a guy that doesn’t even go to the table to take your order, you have to go to the window to order. What am I paying tip for?

Didn’t get much on the service with drinks. The Pizza for each person was extremely pricey for a vacation date. And we were not fans of the Detroit pizza. Here for a few more weeks, and will not be trying this place again.

Anytime I travel, everywhere I travel, I always look for Detroit style pizza, the best pizza in the world. Red light did not disappoint, these guys know Detroit. Had the 6 mile with brick cheese, salami, pepperoni and jalapenos...chefs kiss! Firm and crunchy crust, crusty cheese melted on the edge just the way it's supposed to be...Had to look outside to make sure I was still in DC...this place is the real deal.

A charming staple of DC 14th St nightlife. From reasonable happy hour pricing to late night ambiance and friendly bartenders, Red Light is a must visit!

Usually my fav pizza place in town but tonight we got this undercooked wet mess. So disappointing.
