Y’all - unfortunately for me this was one of the last stops on my long weekend and I HIGHLY recommend you make it a priority. Absolutely incredible spirits and THE best cocktails. I’ve never had an espresso martini with bourbon but it was top notch. The gin fizz was delicious and to top it off the service was the best we had all weekend. Not only do I recommend stopping here, but I will be moving it to the top of my list of future trips and enjoying the bottles I’m taking home! Thank you, thank you!

Republic makes an excellent rye! I recently bought it at a local farmers market. It tastes fantastic and is smooth enough to have on the rocks. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

They brought so much positive energy to an already great day with Mt family. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place and their drink recommendations for any celebration- large or small. Republic Restoratives: a women-owned distillery in Ivy City that also sports a hip tasting room and cocktail bar. I walked on a Saturday afternoon and was welcomed by the staff, it was early in the day and I was the first customer. I stopped in for the 1:00 tour, but I had enough time to enjoy a drink beforehand at the bar. I ended up being the only one for the tour so I got to enjoy an intimate experience walking behind the scenes of their operation. My favorite part was going upstairs to see the area where they aged a few of their barrels. As a bourbon enthusiast, I loved taking a peak at what was cooking for future releases. At the end, I got a tasting of their core line-up: Assembly Gin, Borough Bourbon, Civic Vodka, and the Chapman's Apple Brandy. Craft spirits can be a hit or miss as a distillery learns to develop their young spirits. I'm happy to report this one is absolutely a hit. Their clear spirits are nice and clean while their whiskies are all solid. Republic Restoratives is a great stop if you are a spirits fan or just looking for a place to enjoy a cocktail.

Excellent client service and amazing attitude. On a Sunday afternoon, my buddies and I went on a sampling tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and brought out some of the environmental measures they employ. Each of the samples was tasty in its own way. As a memento, we were each given a tasting glass from Republic Restoratives. The letter "R" in American sign language appears in the company's logo as an homage to the nearby Gallaudet University. Following that, we sipped on some cocktails at the bright bar area. On the basis of our requests, the bartender created custom, off-menu cocktails. The success of a crowdsourced distillery is wonderful.

invested in this company through a website called MicroVentures.com They have yet to fulfill their obligation of my investment. The contract was that they would pay 10% of gross revenues back until we were paid 150% of our initial amount loaned. Yet they are constantly advertising their donations to charitable causes through their special events.
Great little spot! The bartenders were friendly and knowledgeable. The Negroni and Manhattan were top notch. The espresso martini was a bit too sweet for my taste. The cream foam on top was fun but not my taste. But I think others would enjoy it! Highly recommend this spot

I have purchased a few of the mini Vodka Civic bottles from time to time since for some reason they never have the Bourbon mini even when I was there earlier during the day. They don't sample so, I rather not splurge on a watered down version of real booze. I asked the saleslady to hold a little bourbon and she just told me that I have to get there early. At one point, this female forgot to bring the bourbon. So, what is the excuse?

Well... I guess I can't say one way or another... we were met at the door by an order to put masks on then told that they are only a retail shop for their spirits. Couldn't taste anything to decide. Definitely NOT a craft cocktail bar!!!!
