Solid Italian restaurant in DC.

Easy to get reservations, I went on a Friday night with a friend. We got the three course set menu. A lot of food for the price. Great quality and great options. Recommend coming hungry or ordering off the a la cart menu. Garlic knots are a must.

Lots of servers that were very attentive. Be careful, they’ll scoop up your plate if you’re not paying attention.

Wine and beer list was extensive.

Fair pricing for quality of food and atmosphere.

Would definitely recommend to a friend. Would definitely visit again.

Parking: No parking lot, not a lot of street parking. Had to park a few blocks away.

Kid-friendliness: I probably wouldn’t bring kids here, didn’t have kid friendly food.

I never leave reviews but…husband and I came for our anniversary and the food was so lush that i asked to thank the chef. Much to our shared surprise, i shed actual tears while expressing my pleasure with the meal. That’s when i realized their bar staff is also top of their game!
Go for the food. Be stunned by their drinks. Leave your husband for the girlies behind the bar and in the kitchen.

My friend and I did the 3 course dinner... it was good, but didn't really live up to my expectations for the price. And with the 22% service fee included, there was no incentive for the wait staff to be attentive. Our server checked in on us initially, but for the rest of the evening we had to be on the lookout for her and wave her down to get her attention. It was especially frustrating when our food had come out and we wanted a glass of wine to go with it. By the time we were able to order it and received it, our food was cold. Huge disappointment.

We stumbled upon this place on the way to another reservation. Vibe, personality, and delicious food. Stop in. You won’t regret it. And yes, we will be back.

(For those wanting the EXTRA details. Delicious and creative pasta dishes and incredible accompaniments. The staff is kind, funny, and attentive, and the cocktails were top notch)

Their pasta and wine selection is delightful. Pasta is perfectly cooked, and they have really interesting organic wines. Garlic knots are also so yummy. I was less impressed by the starter options. I have not tried any of the non-pasta mains.

I have been here twice and had very different hospitality experiences on those two visits. The first time we were rushed through our meal and wine, even though there was no one waiting and it was supposedly open for another hour. They tried to get us to pay right after we had just ordered a second bottle of wine and still had pasta on the table. I find this incredibly frustrating/ annoying, especially when you are paying these kind of prices.

The second time I came for my birthday because the pasta and wine selection was worth giving them a second chance. On this occasion, everyone was much more hospitable. We were not rushed at all, and they gave us a full dessert on the house for my celebration.

Reveler's hour is a fine enough restaurant masquerading as a fine dining restaurant.

Across all the courses, you find more "meh"s than excitement.

My partner and I each did the 3 course dinner and made different selections for all 3.

For me, the standout was the appetizer, the grilled mushroom panzanella salad. Extremely delicious, savory and well presented. My partner's rabbit arancini was equally good.

My entree, the bucatini with cultured butter, Farm at Doe Run cheese, black pepper, and chives, was bland and flavorless, though the pasta noodles themselves were well made and the sauce decent enough for a weekday night quick meal. The garlic knots (for $5 extra) were quite good additions. My fiancee seemed to quite enjoy her brisket cannelloni with celery root soubise.

I finished with a dessert of ricotta cheese cheesecake and blueberry jam while my partner had the olive oil cake with peach preserves. Aside from the jam/preserves, neither were anything special and would barely draw acclaim at a more modest bakery.

Overall, Reveler's Hour coasts on its cocktails, atmosphere, and a handful of standout items while the remainder of the menu is given short shrift and fails to live up to the relatively high price tag. The service is fairly good, if a bit slow. If money is not important to you, Reveler's Hour may be for you.

Vegetarian options: A handful of vegetarian options exist in each area of the menu.

Dietary restrictions: The servers ask about dietary restrictions in advance and seem eager to accommodate them, though I don't know in what manner.

Parking: Adams Morgan is a challenging area in which to find parking. You are better off parking on the street in an adjoining neighborhood and walking.

Kid-friendliness: I would not bring kids.

Wheelchair accessibility: The space is all ground level, with direct access to the sidewalk and no stairs. However, the restaurant is narrow and crowded.

Tasty meal. Rushed, impersonal, and inadequate service. Would recommend Red Hen over Revelers Hour for better food and better service.

Please bring back the corn ravioli! The cannelloni doesn’t hold a candle. The beets, broccoli alla romana, and olive oil cake are incredible.
