Food was pretty good but overpriced for the amount that was provided. It took us a while to be addressed once served, but then they were attentive.

A couple of months ago my fiancé and I were roaming Georgetown to find a place for dinner. We are an ethnic couple, and dressed presentable that night but nothing fancy. We saw the outside of this place which we thought looked cute but had no reservation so we figured we could shoot our shot. We go inside, the manager looks us up and down and says there’s no tables available without reservation. I had seen a couple of tables empty but figured they were for those with reservations. We turn around to leave and see a white couple enter the restaurant behind us and they ask for a table for two. They’re asked if they have a reservation and they respond no and the host said no problem and said we have tables open…. I was mind blown and disgusted with their behavior but left without a fight because I didn’t want to be served in a place like this. Now that I see they have stolen money from Covid relief funds and other people had rude encounters too, this place deserves to stay shut down.

We ate here in June, the weekend before they had their fire. Such a cute, romantic spot, and the service was perfect! We can't wait for them to reopen!! The appetizers we had, grilled polenta topped with mushrooms in a gorgonzola sauce, grilled shrimp in a spicy sauce and the fried calamari, were absolutely fantastic. The best calamari I've ever had, hands down. We both had pasta for dinner--linguine with white clam sauce (OMG delicious!) and seafood pasta in a spicy marinara sauce (my husband LOVED it!). We had to have tiramisu and affogato for dessert--the tiramisu was perfect and the ice cream with espresso also perfect. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We were hoping to next time get a seat on the balcony--please open ASAP!!

Saw a review that talked about the food not having any flavor, not sure if the chef at the time had a bad day or what, but I can't agree with any of the statements‼️

Some of the best Italian food I've ever had in the United States ?

Everything is made from scratch, the pasta, sauces, salad dressings... and all ingredients were super fresh!

- Burratta Al Altopiano (appetizer)?
With fresh basil pesto and sun dried tomatoes.

- Insalata Toscano Tristate: ? Very light, but incredibly flavorful.

- Tortellini Carbonara: The pasta was perfectly aldente ? The sauce was thick, creamy, with fresh herbs and so flavorful.

- Fettuccine Oceano: the biggest chunks of lobster, scallops and ?, definitely worth the money ?

- Tiramisu: ?? Also made in house, and absolutely delightful! (Have an espresso with it to compliment)

Jorge & Frankie: incredible service, from being greeted outside at the door, to allowing us to sit upstairs, away from everyone so my bf could answer work calls without disturbing anyone. Everyone was personable, fast and the atmosphere transported me right into Italy.

Paid street parking available.
Outdoor seating available.

Walked to one of our favorite spots today and saw that recently suffered damage from a fire. So sorry to hear and looking forward to going back and having my tiramisu as soon as they reopen!

We had the Lobster Risotto, Spaghetti with Italian Sausage, Filet Mignon special, all were delicious. Our desserts and espresso were were perfect. Our waiter Gabiel (sp) was theatric in his presentation and persuasion of the menu. All staff were smart, attentive and quick. Highly recommend.

Fantastic Italian food, really good. You won’t be disappointed. And you must get the tiramisu, it is the best I’ve ever had!!

Be wary of a negative review, the food is excellent here.

I have been dining there for many years, you can say I dine once every two months.
Restaurant workers are so nice and their service is very nice. The Italian food is very good and I am actually a vegetarian and there are several options on the menu for vegetarian dishes (if it shows that there is meat, you can tell the waiter no meat).
It is recommended to go and dine there!

We had a reservation for Thursday May 4th, 2023 at Piccolo restaurant. We had the little room with the window facing the street. I want you to know the service was excellent, our meal was superb. Our waiter was wonderful. If in town next time you will see me again. I would recommend this restaurant with exsuberance. Gerry D.
