Always yum! You can find whatever flavor you like in any type of combination. In the past, I would always get the Italian ice with nerds in the middle. My life has been changed after tasting the custard though. It's so soft, smooth, silky, and super creamy. Now when I go, I get the Gelati. This is the Italian ice with a custard top. This has to be one of, if not the best Rita's in DC and in between Maryland. I have choices for Rita's between Gambrills, MD and DC, but the flavors that this Rita's on H Street mixes up are like no others! Take that Black Cherry, it is the best! I can only tell you about it. You have to try it for yourself. It is so worth it!

I hate that they close during the fall and winter. Its hard to find a place with frozen custard and you usually have to settle for ice cream or frozen yogurt and neither of them have the taste that Rita's is known for. It would be best if at least one of the locations was open year round. This location is always nice and provides quality service.
