An absolute delight and not to mention an icon of Philadelphia. It's really great to see them starting to expand into neighbouring states.

The hallmark Italian ice is a refreshing and unique take on the slurpee that you can't find anywhere else.

The only issue I have is that they're not more widely available all over the country.

Rita’s is a delicious treat. The gelati is good: frozen custard layered with Italian ice. They usually have one sugar free Italian ice on menu. Take out only. Parking lot has about 6 spots and there are a few more on street. Don’t forget to tip!

I've been doing to this Rita's locations for many years. This location was one of the first to open in the DC area. It's a great stop on a hot day. Rita's also caters events.

Parking: You can find parking on the street. It's usually easier to park on the neighboring blocks.
