I recently visited your Woodmore location for the first time, and I want to share some feedback about my experience. Unfortunately, my visit did not meet expectations. While I was looking forward to trying Roaming Rooster for the first time, the service left much to be desired. I mistakenly thought my number had been called — I was number 17, and number 16 had just been announced. I approached the counter believing my order was next, only to be met with rude and dismissive behavior from the staff. A staff member (who I was told may have been the shift leader — she wore braids and glasses) loudly told me, “Your number is at the top of the receipt,” in a tone that felt unnecessarily condescending. Additionally, the environment was loud due to the volume of the music, which made it more difficult to clearly hear order numbers being called. To make matters worse, I was not given a proper receipt because the machine ran out of paper, and no one offered to reprint it. This added to the confusion when trying to verify my order. As someone who values good food and good service equally, I found this experience disappointing. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to help improve customer service and training at this location. First impressions matter, and I genuinely hope future visits to your establishment reflect the positive reputation Roaming Rooster is known for.
They flavor their chicken so well. All the sandwiches are excellent
I love the fact this roaming rooster serves breakfast!

So, the burgers here at roaming rooster were good but the chicken tenders were way way too spicy. I have a high tolerance for spice and this was really spicy for me; Even though I got medium spice, not even hot, just medium. If you want the chicken tenders you should get mild or just don’t get them. It was also pretty expensive one burger is like 11 dollars. I went with my family (4 people) and the total was like 73 dollars, we could’ve gotten sushi instead of this and we would still have extra money left over. The fries are good but I suggest to not get honey mustard or rooster sauce. Those just aren’t for me.
This is my first time coming here so idk if they just accidentally mixed up the medium spice chicken tenders for extra hot spice.

Disappointing Experience at Tenley Town, DC Roaming Rooster
I visited this location at 7pm, but was turned away by unfriendly staff. They claimed they were overwhelmed with online orders and couldn't accept in-person orders. I was confused - if they couldn't handle in-person orders, why were the doors still open?
The staff's attitude and the restaurant's unclear policies left a bad taste. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

This is the best food addition to Tenleytown in years. I’m a regular on the weekends and it’s hands down the best Buffalo Chicken sandwich in DC. Be sure to add the jalapeño Cole slaw.

I've lived in Africa, Asia, Europe and North America, and this is the best fast fried chicken I've ever had. My favorite dish is the Fried Chicken and Coleslaw, because this isn't like coleslaw you've had before: it's rich with cabbage, cilantro and jalapeño, and eschews mayonnaise for a less creamy version. I eat here a couple of times a week.

I recently tried the fried chicken at Roaming Rooster, and it was exceptional. The chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside while remaining juicy and tender on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, with a perfect blend of spices that provided just the right amount of heat and flavor. Each bite was a delightful experience, showcasing the quality and care put into preparing the chicken. If you’re a fried chicken enthusiast, Roaming Rooster's fried chicken is a must-try. Highly recommended!
I ordered rooster sauce but the people only gave me ketchup

It's fast food folks. A glorified chicken sandwich and some fries. The technical aspects of how they made the chicken sandwich is great but it just simply isn't worth the drive to go out the way. The service was subpar and operationally they weren't as polished as other fast food chains.
