It's fast food folks. A glorified chicken sandwich and some fries. The technical aspects of how they made the chicken sandwich is great but it just simply isn't worth the drive to go out the way. The service was subpar and operationally they weren't as polished as other fast food chains.

A solid 4. I had the medium hot Nashville style chicken. Tasted great and it was huge. The chicken itself though was "meh". Ah, it wasn't thick and juicy. It was too skinny. Hope that makes sense. The staff was very helpful and kind. We will be back. Fatten up that chicken!;)

This was my second time eating roaming rooster. I loved them. The portion is so worth the price! My sandwich was soooo filling and the fries are perfectly crisp. My wife and I could barely finish our sandwiches and barely put a dent in the huge serving of fries! The chocolate shake is the right texture and creaminess, it paired very well with the food. The location doesn't have much parking but if you're anticipating to pick up in go it's the perfect location. The seating inside is limited but has a great layout. I can't wait till my next visit to DC

Stopping by this place was an absolute coincidence. Husband and I were looking for a good place to eat dinner, and we always crave Nashville hot chicken when we are home (Hampton roads). When we are in the DMV, we always find an excuse to get our hands on some. We drove past the location, and were immediately reminded of how hungry we were. We walked in, and ordered two sandwiches. I ordered mine with everything on it. This is the first time that I have ever loved coleslaw on a sandwich this much there were slices of jalapeño, mixed in and pickled onion. The flavor combination was unlike anything I've ever had before. I will say that this place does not have any parking other than the shoulder parking in the front of the building. Which is very limited especially on a busy day. So be prepared to park ways away. This places is always busy, and for good reason. They're pretty quick at busting out orders.

Love this place. The hot honey butter chicken is phenomenal. They recently started doing breakfast and they're blowing it out of the water too.

It was our first time trying RR and we were happy with the flavors. The chicken was well seasoned and the fries were from fresh cut potatoes. Also, the woman at the counter was very nice and helpful.

One of the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. I are the OG Nashville with medium heat. The chicken was fried perfectly, and the heat was balance with their homemade slaw. The medium heat is fairly robust if you are not big on spice. Really nice staff. I would eat this every week if I lived here.

Not from the area, but needed to get something to eat after visiting someone else n Sibley Memorial.Quick search of the area, I settled on the Roaming Rooster for a first time try! Young lady working the counter was very pleasant and helpful in my choice of sandwiches. Recommended, heat wise, I start with the mild flavor for my first try, chicken, BLT. Also added fries and and a large ice tea, lil lemon!Order was prepared in a timely manner, with both the chicken and fries freshly fried. One thing I appreciated is that the heat is via a mayo based sauce that cone on the side vs directly on.While it did not taste bad, I opted not to use it in n my sandwich. Their chicken sandwich is a very good! The Schroeder lettuce, tomato, and bacon were all and the chicken is flavored well, with a hint of cayenne on the end.The fries were a good, boardwalk style fries… nothing you haven’t had before, and the tea, just ok.Admittedly… I ordered with my stomach vs my eyes When the young lady informed me my total was $22., I quickly became the guy from the, don’t become your parents, insurance commercial, informing the young lady,”I’m just paying for mine?!While a lil pricy (just a lil) overall experience was great and I definitely recommend if haven’t tried RR, you should! And … no pics…. Just smashed??!

Do not eat here…. everything is À la cart and overpriced. They also don’t follow instructions you asked for mild and they give you super spicy. This will be my last time eating at this place.

This is my go to spot for fried chicken sandwiches and fries. I've tried a couple things and the honey butter is the best by far. The chicken nuggets were not my favorite, but the fries and everything else I've had has been good. The service is great and the food has never taken longer than 15 minutes.
