Trivia Nights (Weds evenings) are very well-managed and fun. The service is attentive and the happy hour menu is on offer in addition to the full menu.

Our group of 8 had a great time at Roofers Union. Despite our large party, we were able to get seated fairly quickly. The rooftop was closed for renovations but was expected to open the following week. Even so, the dining area has huge windows overlooking Adams Morgan which sets a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and provided quick service as well as good vibes. I had the fish and chips which were delicious and the all day happy hour was a nice surprise. Overall, good vibes, great food and friendly staff make this a place I would happily return.

My girlfriends and I had a wonderful time. The food and drinks were incredible as well as the view. The reason I'm leaving this review though, is because at one point in the night, a very drunken man would not leave us alone. Without going into detail, we did not have to do anything. One of the amazing bartenders came to our rescue and promptly removed him from the premises. She was incredible and I'll be back.

Went there for lobster Tuesday, and it was great. Food was really great, I think they need bigger plates for the lobster but other than that it was great!

The lobster was amazing. I have gone many times and will be back again. Nice happy hour too!

Nice big open space, decent food, comparable pricing to area restaurants. Good for groups. Noise level a bit high

We had our wedding reception at Roofers Union in October, and it was absolutely perfect. The space was stylish, comfortable, and had the exact vibe we were going for — fun, a little eclectic, and still really polished.
Mark Namdar and his team were amazing throughout the whole process. Mark was super responsive, helpful with planning, and made sure every detail came together smoothly. On the day of, the staff was fantastic — professional, friendly, and totally on it, so we didn’t have to worry about a thing.
The food and drinks were a huge hit with our guests, and everything flowed exactly how we hoped. We’re so grateful to the team at Roofers Union for making our reception such a fun, memorable night.

Nice neighborhood restaurant with a rooftop view. We arrived at the start of happy hour, and it was slow, but picked very quickly. By the time we finished our meal the place was popping.

The food is basic American staples, but done well and tasty. I’d recommend it for a bite to eat if you’re in the area.

My wallet was stolen from me, around 4pm yesterday (6/22/25). When I noticed this I immediately froze my cards. Then it happened my card was swiped twice here. When I told the supervisor the time it was swiped and how much was attempted to be charged I said 19.80. Guess how much a burger and fries cost…19.80 picture down below. This GUY works there and they all vouching for him saying he would never do anything like that. Here he is the only one eating the what my card was attempted to be charged. All I want is my wallet back that’s all I care for I already contacted the police so we can keep playing games.

We worked with Maggie, the private events manager, to craft a post-wedding brunch for 35 (space could have easily accommodated more). She was super responsive through the planning and Roofers Union staff & on site host, Natalia, were fantastic. Our make your own Eggs Benedict station was a big hit offering ham/salmon/spinach options. With coffee, tea, potatoes, bacon, salad and fruit there was something for everyone. Charming Bartender made excellent bloody Mary’s. Extra Credit to Maggie for checking the weather a few days ahead of time and suggesting we move from the rooftop to the 2nd floor. We would have melted on the roof. 2nd floor worked out perfectly, lots of great natural light and good layout

We recently hosted our end-of-year happy hour at Roofer’s Union, and it was an absolutely amazing experience! We were on the 2nd floor bar area where the room was spacious, filled with natural light, and easily accommodated our large group without feeling crowded or chaotic.

One of the highlights was that the team at Roofer’s Union went the extra mile by creating a special happy hour menu and being super flexible with our last minute changes.

The food and drinks were a solid 10/10!

Huge thanks to the staff for their hospitality and attention to detail. Highly recommend Roofer’s Union for any group events or just a great night out/HH. We’ll definitely be back!

Really great vibes and food. Playlist was 🔥. We’re visiting from Arizona (though I used to live in this area but hadn’t been to this restaurant), and this place was actually recommended by ChatGPT! Great recommendation overall, for a teenager and parents. Our food was great, and the service while a bit slow was also very good. Would recommend to anyone visiting Adams Morgan.

Mediocre and overpriced. Waited way too long for food and service was incompetent
