Best falafel in town. Great selection of sauces. Worth it.

I've ordered from this particular store multiple timesmotoday was the first time the manager was there, he was a total pain. He told me I couldn't order the protein bowl without falafel, seemed irritated when asked for no salad greens, and got all flustered when I asked to add salmon to the meal, for which I said he could upcharge. He added $10 to the meal, a 50% uncharged!

This lunch was takeout for my girlfriend who was undergoing chemotherapy treatment up the street at GW, so I said fine, whatever, fleece me for $10.

I looked at the online menu afterwards, all he had to do was make it a build-your-own order. No drama and no fleecing needed.

Food isn’t as good as it used to be pre covid and some options are no longer available. Staff was friendly and efficient though, which helped.

Sub-par for vegetarians, and lousy service. Felafel was dry and the roasted veggies were tasteless and limp. The service was also super slow. When they finally did get to assembling my order they didn’t give me the right sauces, and sauce might be the only solid thing about this place! The sauces I did get were good. But … at the bottom of the bowl the rice was dry and I crunched on a piece of grit in the kale. Go next door to sweetgteen where the food is better, and the service more attentive. Sorry to pan this place, I’m sure well-intentioned people work here; but this was a very bad experience.

Food was good the first time we came. It was an hour before closing and we had a great time sitting out on the patio with our bikes parked just outside the railing. They wouldn’t let us sit in the patio the second time, even though it was 8 (they close at 9). So we took our business next door to Sweetgreen.

The food was flavorful and the service was efficient. They do have a nice indoor seating area. I have visited this location a handful of times. The only problem is, they have a major fly problem. Every time I have sat in the dining area, I have to be on the look-out, swatting away flies. Even if I try to ignore them, flies will get really close to my bowl or to me, in general. The last time, a fly literally flew into my bowl when I was almost done. During my visit before that one, a fly just landed on my arm as I was eating. It makes me wonder how the staff keeps bugs away from the food during the day.
After this visit, I stopped by Cava (next door) and they don't have the same fly problem, so I don't know what the issue is.
I don't know if I will be back, or maybe only for take out.

The food is great but the serving staff were abrupt and rude which ruined my experience. The man behind the register was nice.

Food great. Staff friendly. Facilities clean. We got there right as they put their chicken dishes on sale. They were a great value. If they weren't on sale, I would say they are still worth the price. Staff was super friendly, we had never been to a place like this and they walked us through it without making us feel like we were inconveniencing them. Facilities seem clean and well maintained. I'll be back before leaving DC.

Best food, the plates are full, so many fresh ingredients and flavors and for such a cheap price compared to other similar restaurants in D.C! Like $10 for the plate and a small pita on the side. You can add so many ingredients and really make the plate your own.I ordered online and came to pick it up no more than 15min after and it was ready just when I arrived.
