I celebrated my 30th birthday here at Royal Sands last weekend and it was beyond a 5-star experience. What's great about hosting events here is that it's incredibly spacious and you don't have to pay ridiculous rental fees! We had a roped off area by the entrance for my group of 25 friends, plenty of chairs and booths, and so much space to dance! Chris, the manager introduced himself and kept an eye on our party to make sure we were all doing alright, and our server Katharine was attentive and making sure all our food and drinks were put in and coming out. Thank GOD this place serves late night happy hour because the sushi and the sushi boat was absolutely bomb, and we had the munchies after drinking. I highly highly recommend hosting your event here at RSSC, whether it's a birthday party, or social or getting together with friends- they'll take good care of you!

We hosted our wedding welcome drinks in the private room here and they were fantastic! Own bar, own bathroom, cute decor, can play your own music and send them a slideshow of photos to play. It was a wonderful event and I cannot thank the team here enough for their hard work! We will be back!
I reserved a space for my friend's engagement celebration. It was a great experience and the event went off without a hitch. The staff was kind and easy to work with. All of our guests had a great time!

The noise level was NOT energetic. The music was way too loud for a place that was completely empty on a Friday night. When trying to book a reservation they only had limited options but we get there and there are only two people at the bar but yet they had the music on like it was a popping club. We asked to have it turned down and they did but then they slowly upped it again despite the place still being empty. We left instead of getting more food and drinks. You're better off next door at either Mission or Gatsby's. Better vibes and you'll be able to hear the people you're with. This place is not worth it.

I have been to Royal Sands a few times before for dinner and drinks and always had a great time, great food, and great drinks, but I want to specifically highlight their event capabilities. My husband and I are leaving DC after almost a decade and wanted to throw a party with our friends. Fritz responded to my inquiry so quickly and easily set us up with a space for fifty people at a bar. There was no reservation fee, no minimum, and our friends could all open individual tabs, which made the event so stress free! Our communication with Fritz throughout the planning process was flawless, not that there was much to do on our end since they did just about everything for us!The actual day of went wonderfully. A hostess took us right up, introduced us to our bartender Ryan, and then a manager welcomed us as well. As our friends filtered in, Ryan kept up with drink orders without a problem, and food orders seemed to be brought to the right people very quickly. At the end of our booked time there was absolutely no rush to go, and we did stay a few more hours.The Mission Group restaurants have always been impressive with crowds, but this experience just solidified how great they are at hosting events! We had such a great time and it was the perfect way to say goodbye to DC!
