🇹🇭 Great Experience with the Thai Consular Service in Houston 🇹🇭
I traveled from Austin to Houston to renew my Thai ID card through the mobile consular service. Although my appointment was at 9:30 AM, the staff kindly accommodated me earlier.
Everyone was kind, helpful, and professional. I truly appreciated the warm smiles, clear guidance, and excellent service. This was my second time receiving support from the Thai consulate — the first time was at the head office — and both experiences have been smooth and reliable.
Thank you to the Thai Embassy and all the staff for your dedication and care for Thai people living in the U.S. Your efforts are truly appreciated! 🙏
Washington Thai counselor came to Houston very disorganized no plans people are playing musical chairs totally disoriented. They need to really really work on their seating getting people up to the window or do their passports or ID card girls sitting in the first row checking paperwork there’s like four people checking the same documents from one chair to another chair to another chair so much labor waste, totally disorganized You guys need help
Smooth process and helpful / courteous staff and volunteers at Wat Bhuddavas in Houston, Tx in June 2025.
Be-ware. I had applied for a visa 2 years ago, staff contacted me on an issue, helped resolve it. They were great. This time I applied for my wife. I made one mistake in the spelling on the application, they reject the visa took the $200 and never replied to e-mails or voice messages. The service has changed. Judging by other comments, I see a pattern.
Not an easy place to find but it is a peaceful location.
Attentive staff
Everyone are so friendly and so helpful. Thank you so much kha.
Bad experience, made an appointment to do the paperwork at 10 a.m., now it's just finished at 1 p.m....working slowly. At first, the official came out and said there was a problem with the system, so we kept waiting. But the person who came after us had to do it first...so we walked up and asked but got the answer that the elderly person had to do it first...very confused..then why would they give a booking appointment if they could get a queue according to the staff's wishes? ...#Thai people keep going.
i have tried to get into contact with someone for months.
Our visit to the Royal Thai Embassy has to be one of the highlights of my week! All their services were prompt and efficient as long as you have your documents (listed on their website) ready. If you're not sure, ask them via email or give them a call. I really wish all places in the world could offer the same service that I have experienced today. The front desk officer was kind and patient. The policewoman and passport officer were also professional and respectful. One quick note to the management is that they all deserve a raise! One thing I wish they did have is some kind of security check before people can get in. It is just to ensure the safety of staff and patrons. I didn’t take any photo because this is a government building.

I have received service from the consulate 2-3 times already. The service is very good. Last time I contacted the legal department. She provides very good service. Thank you very much. Thai people have the best service in the world.
So hard to get ahold of anyone for anything. Esp with thailand changing their visas. No one is helpful.
