coffee is like coffee. And I would like more politeness and attention from the staff.

Fantastic cafe to work from. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, coffee is predictable, food and pastries are solid. I wish there were more outlets but I've never had an issue charging up for work. In the warmer months they have additional outdoor seating as well. Support this small business :)

It's cute but small, particularly if you're in a wheelchair or use a mobility device. It is wheelchair accessible, though. I'm not sure if the bathroom is accessible, but the rest is accessible. It's expensive, I got a small hot chai latte with pumpkin and it was $7, but it's DC, so not too surprising I guess. It was a good chai latte. Also, you do need the code to use the bathroom.

Excellent coffee and sandwich, the place is small, sometimes it is better to buy to go

Rue is great! The baristas are friendly and most of their pastries are good including the citrus olive oil cake, the cheesecake, and the eclairs. I would skip the croissant (go to Le Caprice for their croissants instead!). It’s a nice place to study or work but you need to arrive early as the WFH crew will take up every table by 11-12 am.

My absolute favorite neighborhood coffee shop! Great food and coffee, wonderful staff, and a cozy environment for hanging out or working.

Came here twice so far, and plan to keep returning. Their coffee is delicious! Not burnt or bitter like a lot of other places, including at well-known chains. Their syrups are tasty and they don’t make the drinks overly sweet. The baristas are always kind and welcoming. It’s a great place to stop after visiting Rock Creek Park, or to study/work on your laptop. Even on weekends, there are always seats. They have outdoor seating too.

Great spot with tasty and reasonably priced beverages (mango green tea and matcha latte were both delicious). Very friendly service! I wish I'd gotten the name of the barista who served us, because they were awesome. Nice ambience with indoor and outdoor seating, and a clean, newly renovated bathroom.

Only drawback is the fact that it's so popular that it can be difficult to find a seat.

Love to do work at Rue cafe. It always so calm, and the chai is to die for! I get it every time that I visit and it never disappoints. Even when I'm not doing work, I sometime set out time to come get their chai :)
