Outstanding. Complex dishes, generous portions, value and options . The service is friendly and professional. The chef /owner himself came out to chat with us after we inquired about the ingredients in a dish. We're considering moving to DC! Recommend all the dishes we had: roasted carrots, chicken liver, chicken schnitzel entree, jeweled rice. Drinks : pomegranate soda, fig bourbon Manhattan. As an extra bonus the decor and ambiance is very pleasant as well.

We were lucky to get the tip to go to Sababa by a local. It was a gem!! Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Don't live in town, but when we come back this place is on the place to go list!

I’ve dined at Sababa a few times and each time I’ve had excellent service and amazing Israeli food. Lots of one star reviews here seem to be coming from pro-terorist supporters whose primary goal is to harm a local business. Sababa is my go-to for upscale Israeli food and Shouk (if you haven’t been yet, go) is my go-to for Israeli street food. Five stars across the board.

Incredible experience at Sababa last night. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive and well trained. We remember each staff member greeting us both on the way in and out. Great service overall. Food was very good. It was a play on both authentic Israeli/Levantine cuisine with a slight fusion spin incorporating flavors from all over the Middle East. It is clear that just about all of the negative reviews here are politically motivated and unfair to the establishment. I highly recommend Sababa.

Excellent food, and top service. We enjoyed the Salatim and beef kebab, as well as the kunefe. The service was outstanding and very attentive. We will return!

No seating, no parking, rude staff and food tastes like it was made last week. Avoid this place at all costs.

Absolutely supurb! We ordered two large dishes and an Israeli salad. Because the restaurant had been listed as kosher on a restaurant directory and the restaurant serves meat I expected non dairy desserts (the restaurant in fact is not kosher, which is not a dealbreaker for me). All of the desserts listed on the menu were dairy but the chef was able to make me a non dairy pear vanilla sorbet!

The restaurant is truly one of the best. Had a family quick dinner here after spending a day at the zoo. Convenient location, 5 min walk from the zoo. Came before opening but still was greeted by friendly host. They had table ready fast. Food was ready quickly, very delicious. Staff provided an outstation service! Will definitely receive to friends and family.

Our group of 6 had an excellent meal. Our server Semone S was extremely helpful in in helping us decide much to order. We started with an order of Salatim (5 appetizers), charred eggplant (it had a delicious sauce with pomegranate and pistachio) and 3 Israeli salads. For main dishes, we split the Jerusalem mixed grill and 2 orders of loin lamb kabobs. We decided to also split all 3 desserts. We had a great experience for all parts of our meal and would definitely recommend trying it.

My lady and I went for the salads, stayed for the kebabs, drank and ate ourselves stupid. What a gem. Fresh, flavorful, and I highly recommend you get the charred eggplant - it’s to die for. Also the fig manhattan is. 10 / 10 drink.

I am a huge fan of Israeli food, and have been to Israel, so I was already happy when I entered the place. Great decor, a neat vibe and a chill, comfortable environment are all enhancers to the overall experience. The food was outstanding. Complex flavors, drawing on the culinary roots of the region but adding a layer of innovation and complexity. Do go and enjoy. It’s excellent - will repeat next trip down. Side note: be sure to order an Israeli wine with your food, naturally it pairs perfectly. A++
