When I’m in DC I have breakfast here daily. It’s a really special place with a huge selection of authentic dishes. I always have grits, stewed apples, cheesy scrambled eggs and pork links but they have it all. And for lunch you can get fried chicken and collards and cornbread and more. I could go on and on. It’s the real deal and very friendly and welcoming to those of us visiting from far away places. They put the soul in soul food!

You know a place is good when you open the door and you’re immediately enveloped in the best kind of aromas coming from the kitchen.
Even with the long line and some customers complaining about it, these ppl who work here are nothing but sweet kind and welcoming.

This place has a warm feeling and the staff is stern but in a friendly organized way. The food is good and I am thankful for free street parking.
