Ordered lunch seafood pad see-Ew. It had literally 1 shrimp, 1 oyster, and 1 scallop. You pay $5 extra for this. Crazy work. They are getting people. DO NOT COME FOR LUNCH HERE.

The good: no prob w parking, kind waitress.
The bad: quality of food is very mediocre. I walked in thinking I’d get the reasonably- priced “LUNCH special” ($16) and I left paying $27 for basic Pad Thai, a drink and the mandatory DC tip. Not worth the money.

I ordered the Tom yum and Tom kha soup (both Thai spicy) in addition to mango sticky rice. The Tom yum is delicious (haven’t tried the Tom kha yet) however the sticky rice was the problem. It was salty which was shocking. In addition i payed $10 for about 1/4 cup of rice mashed down with half a mango. Unacceptable for me personally and I will be patronizing other Thai establishments where the price coincides with the portion.
Solid choice for Thai good and the service is great!

I ordered a pad Thai and it smelled like dead chicken. I lived Thai food but it ruined the experience for me. Couldn't eat it, the food smelled terrible and the taste was below average.
20 dollars for a small plate of pad Thai ... Terrible

I've been coming here for about 5 years now, and they've always been friendly. The food is delicious, reasonably portioned, and reasonably priced to boot. You really can't go wrong here. If you love Thai, Sala Thai will impress!

We thought the food was excellent! Everything was very fresh. Not pictured are their wontons, which were savory with a bit of chicken inside, I think(?). Thai iced tea was absolutely amazing. Loved that there was a lot of fresh cabbage in the spring rolls. The sauce on the pad see ew was perfect, but I always order extra sauce. The fried rice was flavorful. Service was great. Added gratuity, so make sure you check your bill. They also no longer serve sushi—their website should be updated, as it still shows they have sushi.

Salsa Thai has solid Thai offerings presented in a nice atmosphere, and the addition of a full bar and happy hour menu is a welcome addition that I don’t see at most other Thai restaurants. The wait staff was very cordial, timely, and informative. I’ve ordered from here both as takeout and delivery, and it’s great both ways!

We were visiting DC with our five kids. We all love Thai food and Sala Thai did not disappoint. We had every dish on the lunch menu and they were all perfect. You can not go wrong ordering here. Staff is very attentive and quick to refill drinks. Ask for spice tray. It has everything you need to heat it up some more, if you like! Thai tea was a great treat to finish the meal. We will come here every time we visit our son in grad school. There is a parking garage across the street. Only 2 dollars for first hour. Very convenient.

I first started eating from this location and the service was great. After a while the manager appeared to be arrogant.
I would not advise anyone to visit this restaurant.

My weekly stop! I am in town once a week and have made Sala Thai my lunch destination! The menu has many options and all items have amazing flavor and are prepared fresh. One new item is the Salt and Pepper Calamari (pictured) that is sooo good! I recommend grabbing a Thai tea if you're nearby and in a hurry. Otherwise, the Lab Gai or Kaprow are probably my favorites and always hit the spot!
The restaurant is always a great atmosphere and the staff are super friendly and attentive. I like to find street parking but there's also a parking garage literally across the small street in front.

So I came here for a happy hour quick dinner while working on the area. The sushi roll was actually phenomenal for 6 dollars I got a great salmon avocado roll. The salad had a phenomenal peanut based hot dressing that was full of flavor and the beer was a beer lol. My issue is when trying to order an additional roll the waitress behind the bar said it would be 30 minutes as I'm behind large door dash orders normally I would be okay with that but it seems that they have an issue with priority management. On top of that I was only spoken to once during my dinner and I would have liked to order more. But I'm mostly upset that at the end of my dinner feeling a bit annoyed I'm given a check that was "off" they had pre added a gratuity of 18%. While I enjoy being generous with a tip for great service normally giving 20% or more I find it offensive to be given a bill that already has it in it. The DC taxes already charge so much and to do this seem egregious. I likely won't be back while I'm working in the area.
