I love this place-- granted the surroundings are still growing in understanding diversity and merging cultures, but this place is a diamond in the ruff.

Came here for happy hour and I enjoyed it. Let's just say this particular franchise is a bit ghetto. That doesn't diminish the strong libations and solid cuisine! I've had several dishes and they are always delish. The thai mussels, pinky in the blanket( shrimp spring roll), thai basil fried rice with beef, shrimp basket and crab fried rice are all dishes I recommend! You can also get HH to go! Great local hidden gem!

I recently enjoyed happy hour at Sala Thai on a Friday, and it was a fantastic experience. The extended happy hour until close was a definite plus. I opted for the ginger mule, and I have to say, all their drinks were quite potent--two of them and you're set for the evening. I also indulged in the wings, salt and pepper shrimp, calamari, and crab rangoon, with the calamari standing out as a top-tier choice. The happy hour had a relaxed atmosphere and a pleasant vibe. While some might have reservations about the neighborhood, if you can overlook that, I wholeheartedly recommend this place.

The Thai restaurant that moonlights as a club/Lounge. The hood is always bright with many delights. Sala Thai used to be all over DC and VA. But, I guess the times have changed. This is a small spot that has lively music and is more akin to Cheers. If you're a regular, they know your name. Panang Curry was the usual, sweet, tender chicken, and slightly spiced. Should have gone for the full Monty of spiciness.

This restaurant is the worst Thai restaurant I have ever been to. The lady on phone was so rude to me. When I went to pick up my food, I asked her for the receipts of the food, and her response was if I was ok? That was so rude and so disrespectful for a customer service. And to top it up the food was so soggy, too much salt. No good customer service I will never ? go to this place again.

The atmosphere is welcoming. The team all know what they are doing. Drinks behind the bar came in adequate timing, and the food is tasteful as well as served quickly. I personally had Niq take care of me, and she is extremely efficient and on top of her game. I recommend going on the nights the Dj is present, he makes the evening all the more fun

Food flavored well but skimpy on the veggies especially the broccoli and container arrived with a little more than half full and too much liquid. It seemed like the cook was stretching the food....

Sala Thai is one of my favorite places for happy hour. Many locals and government workers come here for their strong drinks and great atmosphere. The servers are friendly and the food is good!

Food hot and spicey. Noodles over cooked. Place small. On street parking available. Might reorder delivery.

If you’re placing Uber orders here and they’re taking longer than expected please understand a few things: 1) the staff is rude and don’t acknowledge us whatsoever., 2) the food is prepared slowly and based on what you look like it takes them longer to service us. I watched a women whose order was up stand and wait, she looked like me too. If your driver isn’t male or Caucasian then it will take much longer. Even the LGBTQ community has a better chance than me. Sorry, I tired for you guys!!!
