We came for the food but stayed for both the food and the drinks. Every cocktails is as pretty as it is tasty. By the time we finished eating we were too full for dessert. The fish shrimp, Khao suew and meatballs were all particularly tasty. The only miss was the veggie fritters. We'll definitely be back.

In an unassuming setting (they have plastic tables that move at the slightest touch), the price was very assuming. The food is mediocre. The portion is way too small for their price. The service was the only redeeming quality that made me give three stars. This is a place where you go try an exotic food, but only for trying. Will probably never go back again.

Food tasted good but we felt ripped off. Crispy wonton cups was 14 dollars and they only give two small piece. Food is not authentic Burmese. They are more focused on making money than providing good authentic food. Won't go back here.

The food is excellent. Add to the list of must eat places in DC. Wonderful flavors and very fresh ingredients, you won't be disappointed. This was the first time having Burmese food and I will Definitely eat here again.

Great brunch! I would highly recommend the brunch experience. All of the food and drinks were delicious, and it was nice to be able to get bottomless alcohol and no alcohol drinks (the milk tea was great on a cold morning). The service definitely matched the food as well.

Great food and service! I’ve had Burmese food a few times before and Thamee did not disappoint! I’m vegetarian/mostly vegan and the options were great. We got the curry noodles with mushrooms and the spicy tofu (which my friend was hesitant to try because he thought it would be boring but it ended up being his favorite!) along with the tea salad and homemade garlic naan. Cute location but it seems they also cater to groups, which is good to know. Definitely recommend!

Tried Burmese food here for the first time today. Wow! It was the culinary equivalent of walking out into a beautiful, lush valley, surrounded by snow-capped mountain peaks, and three moons. Then you ask yourself, where am I, this is so beautiful? I had the same experience in my mouth today over a fantastic brunch. There was a lushness of completely unfamiliar, delicious flavors flowing forth like a riptide. SO GOOD. The service was friendly and efficient and helpful. Will definitely visit again.

Attentive and friendly staff with a menu that is vegetarian friendly. On the pricier side - expect to play at least $30 per person - but worth it if you are interested in tasting great Burmese food. The tea salad in particular is worth ordering, as it is the only place in the US where that specific salad is offered (according to our waiter!)

A cool dinning experience. The staff is really friendly and the food unique. I've never had anything like the tea salad. We heard they have a brunch but yet to try it.

A review of a date many moons ago. It's a quirky hipster small plates restaurant. Fits the neighborhood. They offer expensive amuse bouche sized dishes, and the decor is not nice enough to justify the price in my book. Nevertheless, I did find the dishes spectacular. The red curry was a standout for me. Great flavor. We had a couple vegetable dishes too, roasted turnips and spring onion with cilantro sauce. That cilantro sauce was spot on. Each dish was about $10-$12 for 4-5 bites of food. We had three and still needed to share a dish somewhere else immediately after. There is a larger upstairs that is often reserved for groups as well as a downstairs that is small, so a reservation is needed. However, they do have a long bar to sit at downstairs that looked pleasant. I guess it is obligatory to mention that the menu is on the wall. Yes, it is annoying. But I guess it lets them change things up on the fly.

Food was great but took forever. The place is woefully understaffed to put it lightly. One server, one bartender, and two in the open kitchen. I know it's a small place, but that was too few. Not sure we'll go back, but it was nice to try something new.

One last (very bittersweet) review of Sally's. Very sad. Tears into my dishes. I had a pea shoot salad and catfish, and I am not a big fan of catfish but it was perfect. Riche had pate and I forgot what else because, for me, it's still all about me. So sorry you are leaving. Best of luck to all of you.

Sally's Middle Name has a great brunch atmosphere. I ordered the egg white frittata with root vegetables and harissa paste. The frittata had a wonderful crispy outside, but was slightly runny on the inside. The home fries side is a MUST. Each potato is crispy and is served with sweet, caramelized onions. The four-star review is for the service -- there is one server for the whole dining room, and we waited a long time to have our order taken, and for the food to arrive.

Highly recommend!! A cute little restaurant on H street. We made a reservation for brunch on Saturday after hearing a lot of good things about it. The interior is super cute and hip - they have an open kitchen with a blackboard on one side and all white painted bricks. We got seated right away and we ordered the pork hash, lentils, and Thai porridge. Oh and the apple cider donut and my friend got a coffee cocktail. Everything was superb! The flavors were all deep, rich, and fresh tasting. We also got a side of home fries and you know those have to taste good in order for it to be a legit brunch place. Definitely order these... they were crisp yet soft in the inside. I also loved my rice porridge. I think I ate it in 10 minutes but also because I ran a half marathon so I was ravaneous. I loved the hints of ginger and fresh herbs. Watch out though.. the red chili's make it super spicy so for all you Americans out there you may need a palette cleanser or some milk
