I came here right when the restaurant opened and sat at the bar for the happy hour. Food came out quickly, love the bread a lot. We got the meatball, the grilled octopus with finger potatoes (please try this dish it’s so good). They also accommodated my request regarding the pasta, which was very nice of them. Tiramisu is good too. Would come back.

What a great dining experience I highly recommend this restaurant. I just moved to NW from NE and I'm so happy this restaurant is so close. It is amazing the food is excellent, the staff is incredible and the back glass day room provides great lighting and ambiance. I will be going back and recommending this restaurant to my foodie friends. The lamb risotto and the whole fish are winners.

San Matteo is a gem - great for a casual happy hour, a nice date night, or a big event. My husband and I had our wedding welcome party here with 100+ people, and the staff and service were exceptional. The team is very easy to work with and great at accommodating requests, including allergies of any kind. Highly recommend, including for wedding events!

An excellent experience, all the way around. Food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. Carolina took such amazing care of us. The rest of the service staff were also impeccable - our drinks (even water glasses) were never empty for more than a breath. The food and cocktails were incredible. We recently moved to the DC area and we will be back - often!
We went here for my partner's birthday and were blown away! We ordered drinks and snacks for happy hour which was a good deal. We both ordered pasta and were very satisfied with it. Our server was friendly and attentive. He made recommendations that really heightened our experience, such as ordering a side of broccolini for our pasta. We do not live in the area, but I would gladly come back here next time I am in Washington.

This review is about Soleluna, the coffeeshop that operates out of here in the mornings. It is never open when it says it should be. On a Thursday at 9:02am both doors were unlocked but it was not “open.” There was nobody there. Don’t plan on coming here.

The dinner selections and the espresso martini was truly the best I ever had! We ordered the lamb dish and the seafood manicotti. BOMB. Jordan truly took care of us. I will be back.
