I don’t like to leave bad reviews. Typically I try and find redeeming qualities about places that I don’t like, but I can’t bring myself to do it here. But there’s not much choice unless you wanna trek to Union Station metro.
The food needs salt, as in just a sprinkle to bring up the blandness level, not salt it to death. Dishes are not consistent in quality. One time I ordered a bagel and asked for it to be toasted and it was not. I ordered a burger once and it was so glance and dry. Their omelettes are not bad. Still need salt. Good selection of drinks though. Seating is comfy and spacious.
Now the anecdotal, just my own take. Take this with a grain of salt.
I told myself for a long time that it must be just me but it’s happened so often that it’s become a pattern: the kitchen staff here are… not friendly at all. And when I say “not friendly” I mean that they give off this judgy vibe. I don’t expect smiles and “sir” or “madam”, I actually hate that. I just want to it to be chill for everyone.
I don’t know how to describe it but there’s just this vibe of awkwardness and uneasiness in the pit of my stomach whenever I go there and have to place an order.
I know I may be reading too much into it but it just doesn’t sit well with me when I have to interact with the staff. The owners seem pretty chill tho. But maybe the working conditions and dynamic suck there, I don’t know, I just know that I almost dread going for food there lol.
But like I said, not a lot of choices around here for me, so it is what it is. Again, take this with a grain of salt.

This morning I ordered a morning hash with extra meat, paid for it, got to my office to eat it, and there's no extra meat. How disappointing to pay extra for toppings and not even recieve it. Plus this isn't the first time that this happened.

Gross food and drinks with a minimum spend to use a credit card. Without the forced return to office (which this place is likely ecstatic to see) this place would probably be out of business by now. Don’t recommend coming here at all and know someone that seemed to get food poisoning from here, not sure about the sanitation practices here.

Food is decent in a pinch, but definteitly busy so adjust for time.
I asked to adjust my order and both staff members at the front did not appear to want to help. They had an attitude when I asked for a refund since they were unwilling to make the change.

I absolutely love this little gem. No matter the time of morning you are always met with a smile by all of the staff. The wait time is less that 10 minutes on most items and even though the food is made quick…. It is full of flavor. The establishment is clean and the prices are good for what you get.
Love the salads, soups, and sandwiches. Service is always amazing!!

I just left Phillips and ordered a bagel with cream cheese. I gave the clerk a $20 bill and she gave me $6 and some change back. The bagel was only $3.29. I told her "I gave you a $20." She asked "are you sure???" I pulled out the other $20 bill that was attached to the one I gave her as evidence. I won't ever ever visit here again for that type of service.

very good place for good breakfast and lunch but the only thing is that they change you individually everything for sample tomato ? pico cream I means everything I don't know if that is legally other than that great ? ? ?

I typically have a good experience. But today I wanted to swap out bread for avocado, was told I had to pay the difference that’s fine. However, paying $2-3 for not even half an avocado is probably why I’ll NEVER return. Also, the price on the menu is always different at check out. Bacon is 1.85 extra and I was charged 2.74
** on second thought, the omelette is good* But I won’t be getting avocado & added bacon anymore lol
