The salteñas from Saya are, without a doubt, the best I’ve tasted—not just in Washington DC, but even compared to some spots in La Paz, Bolivia. The staff is warm and attentive, and every bite of food is bursting with flavor. A true gem for anyone craving authentic Bolivian cuisine.
Great service and great food. I had never had Bolivian food before and this was my first time having a saltena. The service was quick and when the food was done, I ate outside because the weather was nice. The saltena was very flavorful and it was a lot of food. However it was extremely messy but it was worth it.
I only had mocochinchi, which is a spiced drink with a dehydrated peach.
It was nice and cold. Very refreshing after walking in the heat.
The fruit was a little bit hard. Maybe it was that batch.
