I gave three stars because while their food looks great, I’ll never be able to go due to their extremely limited hours (they close at 6). For lunch it’s fine but for the after work dinner crowd? I can’t see how anybody would leave work around 5 and still have time to eat here! Please extend your hours!

Absolutely amazing. Definitely would recommend :)! Kind people, atmosphere was relaxing, and the food was delicious. Great for vegans and non-vegans! We ordered the crab cake, steak and cheese, Mac and cheese, fries, and it was all so satisfying. There is also a co-op next door that is wonderful :)

I love the BBQ tofu. Its a nice sweet BBQ sauce with a little bit of a nutty flavor (not sure if there's actually nuts). The Mac and cheese is okay. Sometimes the cheese texture is similar to the texture of glue. I think I'm used to a different style of vegan Mac and cheese like Nu vegan or E life has. The people who work here are always nice and there's an interesting small plant based grocery connected to the restaurant that you can look around while waiting for your food.

The food was delicious!;I went twice during my weekend stay in DC. Once for dinner, and once for brunch with my mother for mother's day. Mom said those were the best pancakes she has ever had. I agree! The dinner was delicious as well. This is a vegan restaurant with a southern soul food vibe!
The lady at this place made me feel like I was at my grandma's kitchen! She was very sweet. She immediately gave us a rewards punch card which I plan to keep using. You get to choose a main dish and two complements, plus cornbread or biscuits. The food was very good and they have a nice selection. The mac n cheeze could've used a bit more salt but still the consistency and taste was well done. There was no place to sit and eat which would've been nice since I wanted to keep talking to the lady about the food and the restaurant. They also had a board promoting other businesses and events which had really good suggestions. Overall I loved the place and the experience.

It's hard to find tasty vegan takeout food that tastes good and is budget-friendly. The cashier provided super-helpful service, guiding me through the menu on my visits. I hope they continue to thrive in a gentrifying neighborhood.

Definitely worth stopping in to this vegan cafe with attached market. It's hard to categorize though, there's everything from egg rolls to chia pudding to sea moss drinks to whoopie pies. They even have entrees too!

Food was good. Huge portions. Definitely leftovers and good bang for your buck. “Warm tummy” type food. Chickpea stew was solid.
