The food here is chef’s kiss. The owner / chef is beyond talented with his ability to deliver multiple ethnic dishes.

The Smoked goat was 100%. Fried whole tilapia was king. Served with Ugali, sukuma wiki, plantains. Chef was pleasant and knowledgeable. A must return. Open for Sunday brunch too.

Had their curry goat and it was great the cabbage was cut well and not soggy the smoked goat was truly impressive.

The food is delicious, the customer service is top notch. We had an event that the guest count was more that 200 and they delivered in time, the food was hot, fresh and very delicious!

I absolutely loved our meal today, an amazing taste of East African cuisine. Large portions and the service was top tier! My only con is that we ordered appetizer samplers. It truly feels like your being dined by family.

I just moved to the DMV area and as I wanted to taste some authentic African dishes, I discovered Serengeti Restaurant online. I gave it a try with my wife and we were utterly satisfied with the meal I ordered. The food was fresh, the portions were more than enough and the flavors just took me back to the motherland. I highly recommend this spot to anyone and I wish the owner all the best !!

So glad this place reopened! Portions are huge, food is delicious, and this is definitely one of the top underrated spots in DC. Don’t sleep on the plantains either!
