I has 6:30 reservations. They did not take our order for 30-45 min. People around us were served and finished before they took our order. Then, it took about another 1.5 hrs before getting our meal. At one point they said they served our food to another table, then we were told they hadn't put in our order. It took 3 hours to get our meal. We were finally served almost 9:30!
The food is out of this world delicious! Wow! The grilled calamari and the carbonara were superb. And the specials the restaurant is offering definitely will have me returning...to the gym AND the restaurant. 😁
The food in this restaurant was absolutely incredible. They have such an extensive menu - so much to choose from. It was difficult to decide, but I ended up with the gnocchi in a spicy blush sauce, which was probably the best I've ever had. We asked for bread and they delivered the most delicious basket of knotted rolls that we dipped in a tasty olive oil. Any bread lover would certainly appreciated these delicious homemade rolls. My friend had the appetizer of mussels along with a side of homemade spaghetti. The portion of mussels was enough to make a meal. Topped off with a tartuffo for dessert which completed our perfect meal. My only complaint is I don't live in DC and will have to take the train to come back to this marvelous restaurant! Linda B
Food was great but a restaurant lacking completely in air conditioning is not a pleasant experience in July in DC.
We celebrated my daughter's birthday and the food and service were amazing. She loved her pasta and mixed green salad. They even sang happy birthday with lemon sorbet!
Excellent happy hour: alfresco (Rome vibes), refreshing Aperol and tasty tidbits. BEST value & vibe on 14th
The food was great; however, the a/c was not working when we went. Hopefully that is a one time issue. The waitstaff was a little slow/occasionally misunderstood what was being asked. Overall a fine experience.
Deplorable service, the waitress spills drinks on people, drinks like beer for example are hot, the waiter makes mistakes in the dishes, brings unordered dishes, a waiter passes between the tables with the trash cans. The food is limited and the pasta is so cooked that it forms a compact block on the plate. Moreover, it’s extremely bland. I absolutely do not recommend!!!!
Recommend passing on Sette Osteria on 14th Street, NW. The food was at best average, restaurant is loud and service was average.
High temperature, service inconsistency, and inconsistent food quality/timing. However bottomless drinks were kept filled and much of the food was good. 3/5 stars

It was a wild day on 14th Street and the enthusiasm was still high when we had dinner. Very noisy but at the location across R Street which echoed into Sette. The meal was fabulous from begining to end mainly due to the quality and exception service from our waited Ozmatt (sp) Risotto frutti de mare was loaded with mussels. calimari and shrimp. had to take half home due to the generous portions. Two things...order the in house baked breads and don't pass up the dessert menu Panna cotta
No AC. Mosquitos were flying all over the food, and charged $14 for an aperol spitz (not worth it).
Delicious homemade pasta and pizzas!
We made a reservation for brunch at 10:30 am on a Sunday and were told they didn’t have coffee NOR tea (for brunch???). The food was average, like the food you would order in a mid- diner. The service was OK in speed but they were not kind. We won’t come back
