Love Seylou!! The staff, the coffee, and the baked goods are all incredible. Highly recommend the focaccia and savory pastries. Also love the baristas there.

Five stars across the board—food, service, and atmosphere. I was genuinely impressed by this spot. The moment you walk in, the smell of fresh pastries is incredible. We ordered to go, but I couldn’t wait long after getting home to dig in. Everything was buttery, satisfying, and full of flavor. So many great options. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Delicious bakery! I wouldn’t come here expecting a full brunch or a proper sit-down breakfast since they don’t really have a full menu—it’s mainly bakery items—but it’s perfect for a quick bite and a great cup of coffee. Amazing selection of both savory and sweet pastries. Highly recommended.
Came on a bustling Sunday but staff worked through the orders quickly! Delicious mini cake and coffee. Snagged a spot inside too, little hard to hear with everything going on but rather have that than silence. Definitely would visit again!

This is probably my favorite bakery in DC. They have pastries and other items I don't see anywhere else and everything is delicious. I also love the flours they use - einkorn and spelt make great breads. Some of the bread loaves come in half loaves - super convenient.

Lovely place, high quality bakery, kind staff. Unfortunately, the matcha was so burned that I threw it away after two sips.

My favorite place to get bread, baked goods, and granola in DC!
My go to is the levain loaf, but the sourdough, challah, and levain are also excellent. The pastries are always great (especially when warmed up) and taste fresh. The granola is FANTASTIC (do not overlook it!).

Best whole wheat bread. Great service. We live out of town, filled our car with loaves to be frozen and consumed till we return back to DC

I visited this cafe to purchase several bakery items, but unfortunately, I was disappointed with the service. During the ordering process, the staff repeatedly asked me to repeat myself, which made the experience uncomfortable. I believe the situation could have been handled with clearer and more considerate communication, rather than making the customer feel embarrassed.
Additionally, the bakery items were placed directly on parchment paper without asking whether the order was for here or to go, or about any packaging options. I am not sure if this café has a self-packaging policy, but it felt strange to be given unsealed items, especially when they were intended to be taken away. When I requested a bag, I was given an empty one instead of having the items properly packed. Although I visited after reading many positive reviews about the bread, the service made this an unpleasant experience.

My favorite bakery in DC. Tried it on my first trip to DC and fell in love. Now I live 25 mins away and still drive over at least twice a week.

Bread and pastries are extraordinary, especially if you appreciate whole grain sourdough baking.
