Food was good. There was a hair on my burger......... Service and hospitality was awful. They bring out your food based on your name. We were also given a number, but they used our name. They bring our food and it's all wrong (it's another Jon's order) we tell them that it's not ours. She literally looks at me and says "well that's what you ordered so". But this girl didn't even look at ticket number. She goes and gets the manager who notices the numbers not matching and obviously takes the food to where it was supposed to be. I didn't catch the girls name but it was March 17 at about 12:30 pm at Shake Shack The Wharf. The girl needs to go home or just be let go. Her attitude was terrible.

The last time I went to a Shake Shack it was amazing. But specifically this Shake Shack is so stacked with the people after 30 minutes of waiting outside starving, the workers have the audacity to come out and say we need to wait ANOTHER 30-40 minutes. I’m sure the food would’ve been great but this is just unbelievable and horrible.

They didn’t have any shakes. Service was very slow. From the time we walked in the door to the time we got our food was around 40 minutes. The food was good and we love the shakes but it was disappointing that they weren’t serving shakes.

Nice place by the wharf. It's wheelchair accessible and a plus. The burger was good but on the small size and reason not to go back.

We have long been Shake Shack fans, but this location leaves something to be desired. We’ve had overstated fries, too much sauce on burgers. And we’ve witnessed poor sanitation practices from staff.

I came here before the Lil Uzi concert, and was pretty disappointed. Place was an absolute mess with sauces and food all over, and a female server yelled at me for not having the number turned towards her. It made me tense before the concert. Burger was a bit dry too. I don't plan on returning here anytime soon.

I absolutely love Shake Shake's burgers. I usually have DoorDash deliver it to me, and sometimes I'll stop in to pick up my order. My only dine-in experience was a few weeks ago during Mardi Gras at the Wharf. Of course because of the large number of people, there was a long line to get in. I guess they had anticipated this extra rush of business and had more staff on duty, because the line never stopped moving and I was inside in just a few minutes. Ordering on the touch screen was easy, especially for me because I was only interested in burger and fries. I think it only took about five minutes for them to call when my order was ready and, as serendipity would have it, a table became available just as I grabbed my food. Even with a massive rush of customers the food didn't disappoint. The two patties were cooked just as I requested and they were juicy and flavorful, with just the slightest taste of butter. The patties are large in diameter but not especially thick, making all that juciness even more impressive. Shake Shake's fries are some of the best in DC. They are substantial without being chewy or having a strong flavor of raw potato. Despite their heft they have a light feel and taste, similar to McDonald's fries, but with a much more refined flavor, and they are delicate but decidedly crispy. Perfect. FWIW, my apartment is about a ten minute walk from Shake Shake at the Wharf, and when I have delivery the burger and fries have been packed in such a way that the fries are still perfectly crispy and flavorful. I guess you can tell I like this place, right?
