The meat is dry and the portions are extremely small. Quick service, but the wrap is way too small for 11 dollars-- that felt like a total ripoff.

Simply the BEST shawarma in DC. I grew up in Jerusalem surrounded by authentic shawarma, and I can tell you District Shawarma is the real deal.

We had Shawarma District cater a work lunch, and it was fantastic! The food was fresh, flavorful, and a hit with everyone. They delivered right on time, and the owner was super friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend for any event or just a great meal!

I recently visited this place, and it was a huge letdown. The prices were way too high for what you get. I ordered a wrap that was overpriced and definitely not worth it. The fries were stale and tasted past their prime, which was really disappointing. To make matters worse, the Baklava was too dry and lacked any freshness. Overall, it was a very unsatisfactory experience, and I won't be coming back.

Sometimes it is excellent in terms of taste and quality, and the advantage is that its owner has been able to taste it himself

I came here during my lunch break since a. it’s close by and b. I forgot to pack lunch last night.
Today’s lunch was a meat shawarma bowl with salad and rice and a bunch of toppings. I don’t remember all of them but off the top of my head I had: tomatoes, pickled onions, garlic, cucumbers, and parsley. I chose the bowl over the wrap since it seemed more filling; I got the salad/rice duo to be a bit healthier and get some greens in there. Anyways, the salad’s alright; I’ll probably just get rice next time.
The environment/ambiance: outdoor seating was nice today. It’s conducive to spontaneous interactions and chats with other people eating. Of course, your mileage may vary. If it’s raining, it’s loud outside, too hot, etc, you might want to eat inside or just take it to go.
Overall nice place, good food. I’ll probably be back again sometime soon.

Shawarma is good. Most of the time it is cold even though they will heat it (toast it) at the end. The food is served the non-Lebanese where they lack the fundamentals of mixing flavors. Manager is rude and unprofessional and the place has limited seating capacity (only outdoor). It is a good place if you are in a rush and want to grab a quick bite.

Owner & staff were very nice. Choice of toppings was great. The wrap was thin and liked that they heated it on the grill. My husband went back for fries and the herbs on them were a nice surprise!
