Amazing food — super delicious and full of flavor!
This place has the best shawarma and falafel in Washington, D.C. Highly recommended 👌
The service is excellent, and the two female staff members are very kind, friendly, and helpful.
Definitely a spot worth visiting again!

Shawarma District is truly impressive clean, fresh, and authentically Syrian.
The place is spotless, the ingredients taste incredibly fresh, and the shawarma is seasoned perfectly with real Syrian flavor. You can tell they take pride in their food. If you’re craving authentic shawarma made with care, this spot is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

We were visiting White House and chose this place for Lunch. Their Bowl was amazing and the price was reasonable!!

Rude/condescending owner: I sat down at a 2-person table, waiting for a friend to join to order, and after 8 minutes or so, the owner/manager came to ask me to vacate the table and give it to other customers who had just arrived and were ordering. I get it. But the tone and approach was unnecessarily rude and condescending. I clarified that my friend was just a minute away but he could not care less and when I asked if he just wanted me to leave, he said ‘whatever you want’ and turned his back. The worse customer service I’ve experienced in a while since I went to the south of France.

mostly prefer middle eastern foods this is central americans/khans
Unfortunately, my experience at Shawarma District was disappointing. The food lacked flavor and freshness — the meat was dry, and the sauces tasted off. What made it worse was the rude behavior of the person in charge. He was dismissive and condescending. There are far better Mediterranean spots in DC that value both quality and customer service.

Just a heads-up for friends in DC — I wouldn't recommend Shawarma District. The food was meh at best, and the manager was super rude. Definitely not the welcoming vibe you want when grabbing a bite to eat. 🙅♀️ Plenty of better options in the city!

Negative review!! Tried Shawarma District in DC and was really disappointed. The food was bland and underwhelming. On top of that, the boss came off as rude and arrogant—definitely not a welcoming vibe. I feel bad for the crew working under him, but I won’t be coming back.

Bad dining experience. The staff were nice, but the OWNER WAS VERY RUDE. Does not know how to treat his customers. I wouldn't recommend eating here just because of him.

Amazing lunch spot in downtown. Food is consistently of high quality and staff are exceptionally nice and professional. A regular part of my rotation and would highly recommend.
Waste of money. Shawarma was dry and bland. Very disappointed and I won’t be trusting the comments again 😭.
