mostly prefer middle eastern foods this is central americans/khans
Unfortunately, my experience at Shawarma District was disappointing. The food lacked flavor and freshness — the meat was dry, and the sauces tasted off. What made it worse was the rude behavior of the person in charge. He was dismissive and condescending. There are far better Mediterranean spots in DC that value both quality and customer service.

Just a heads-up for friends in DC — I wouldn't recommend Shawarma District. The food was meh at best, and the manager was super rude. Definitely not the welcoming vibe you want when grabbing a bite to eat. 🙅♀️ Plenty of better options in the city!

Negative review!! Tried Shawarma District in DC and was really disappointed. The food was bland and underwhelming. On top of that, the boss came off as rude and arrogant—definitely not a welcoming vibe. I feel bad for the crew working under him, but I won’t be coming back.

Bad dining experience. The staff were nice, but the OWNER WAS VERY RUDE. Does not know how to treat his customers. I wouldn't recommend eating here just because of him.

Amazing lunch spot in downtown. Food is consistently of high quality and staff are exceptionally nice and professional. A regular part of my rotation and would highly recommend.
Waste of money. Shawarma was dry and bland. Very disappointed and I won’t be trusting the comments again 😭.

My first time in DC and this was my first stop as I wait for the hotel to prepare my room. What a DELIGHT! Some of the best shawarma I’ve had stateside, with an awesome selection of all *free* toppings to load up with. 4 different types of pickles… like come on. So good.
I got the lamb/beef wrap and loaded it up. Pressed to perfection! The staff and owner were an absolute pleasure as well which is the cherry on top. Closed on weekends so I only have a couple more chances to go here while I’m in town…
I think I’ll be back for dinner! 😂

Such delicious wraps!
The meat is dry and the portions are extremely small. Quick service, but the wrap is way too small for 11 dollars-- that felt like a total ripoff.
