So glad we finally tried Shinwa tonight - they are my new top sushi ramen Izakaya in the neighborhood! Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The staff were so kind and attentive. We will definitely be back!

I have never left a review before but I had such a weird experience at this restaurant. My husband and I went to go have dinner here a couple of days ago. I don't know if they just hired a whole bunch of new staff but none of them seemed to know what they were doing. My husband and i were waited on by a total of four people which was very confusing, everytime i ordered something someone new would ask me if i wanted to order, which i had to constantly explain to each server that we already ordered. On top of that the owner was serving as well and running all over the place, it just was a mess and a very hectic experience. Due to all the confusion it took almost 40 minutes for my husbands food to come out. The food was okay but I wouldn't dine in again, it stressed me out just watching them.

The food here is the best. It's one of our DC favorites, and 100% of the time, I get the golden pork bun ,shio ramen ，city ridge roll,petite sashimi . Service quality is just as high as the food quality. I'll continue visiting as often as I can.
