The best meal I had while in DC. This meal was SO good. It was fresh, not heavy, just so delicious. So many options when ordering. AND the leftovers kept well. I will crave this meal and it will bring me back to visit.
Such a delicious lunch; I had the soup of the day with the oyster mushroom pita bread (shawarma). My husband had the cauliflower bowl with the jalapeño cilantro dressing. Highly recommend when you visit DC; we walked here from the mall.
My boyfriend and I visited this place while in town for the weekend from RTP, and hands down, it’s the best pita and falafel spot we’ve ever had! Ordering was a breeze with their self-serve iPads, and we were able to seat ourselves right away.
We both got falafel pitas, and they were packed with flavor and generously filled with crispy, delicious falafels. The vegetables were perfectly cooked, adding great texture to each bite. The spicy fries were incredibly crispy and stayed that way—never getting flat or soggy.
One of the coolest touches was how the pitas were served in a mini box with a built-in pierce feature, making them super easy to eat. We’re so sad this spot is only in DC and Maryland because it would absolutely thrive in NC. Honestly, we’d make the trip back just for the food.
Easily a 11/10 experience!

It's been two months now since I visited this restaurant with my partner during our stay in Washington.
We ordered, paid, and barely a minute later, an accident in the kitchen triggered the fire system, causing the kitchen to flood and destroying all the food.
The restaurant was therefore forced to close for the rest of the day.
Naturally, we requested a refund for our payment, which we had made just 30 seconds earlier. However, the staff, clearly incompetent in this area, referred us to the manager by email. The manager repeatedly assured us that he would refund our order.
Yet, after two months of waiting, including a month of back-and-forth and confirmations from them, we still haven't received anything.
It seems this restaurant takes pleasure in making fun of its customers and keeping their money without providing the service they paid for.
To be avoided!!!

Misleading— it’s Israeli, not “middle eastern.”
Food was fresh and tasty. Cool casual vibe.

One of my favorite places to go. Shouk'n is my favorite with dried mushrooms and love the kraut and pickles. Used to go to other location before it closed. Right next to convention center. Fast service and fried foods best eaten fresh.

Bad and overpriced, just go to any other place like pow pow or hipcity veg for vegan food.

Love that this place is all vegan. I had the eggplant two ways bowl and fries. The fries are so good.
Their mushroom shawarma is the best - savory and greasy!!
Everything on the menu is delicious. Can't go wrong with any item. Great for vegans and omnivores alike!
