I’m pretty enamored with Side Door Pizza. I will admit the first time I went here I got the chicken parm pizza and it was good but not great (the chicken needed to be properly crispy). Every visit since then, however, the pizza been terrific. I really like both their pepperoni and cheese pizzas, and it’s probably near the top of my list for best pizza in the neighborhood.

Definitely worth trying for takeout, especially if you like Detroit-style.

I ordered a burrito and waited 20 minutes for it to arrive. When it finally did, the cheese inside was still ice cold. It seemed like the cheese may have been frozen, and rather than properly thawing it, they tried to rush the process—likely hoping it would heat up during cooking. It didn’t.

I brought it to the manager’s attention. He offered to remake it, but I wasn’t about to wait another 20 minutes and risk getting another bad burrito. While they did issue a refund—as would be expected—there was no apology, no explanation, and no real attempt to make things right. Something like, “Come back another time and try a fresh one on us,” would have gone a long way.

Unfortunately, the burrito was so unappetizing, and the overall experience was disappointing enough that I won’t be returning.

The pizza was very good. However, I really do NOT like that they put the hot slice in a plastic container. I also had to wait for over 15 minutes to get my slice.

The pizza here is honestly great! I tried both the pepperoni and the Hawaiian, and wow—both were super tasty. The flavors were bold and delicious, and you could really tell everything was fresh. The crust had the perfect crispy bite, just the way I like it—crispy on the outside but still soft enough to enjoy every slice.

What really made it even better was the side of ranch. It paired perfectly with the pizza and added a little extra something to each bite. I’m usually picky about dipping sauces, but this one was spot on.

Overall, it was such a satisfying meal. If you’re craving pizza that’s flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right, this is definitely the place to go. I can’t wait to come back and try more toppings!

Don’t go here-it’s terrible. I placed and paid for my order and they said they would text me when it was ready. Not crowded at all.

An hour later, at 8:30, still nothing. I asked for and got my refund. No explanation, no apology, and no need for anyone else to get treated this way.

Do not be fooled by the entrance. This pizza spot offers a lot more than just pizza. The wings and fries were tasty, but the pizza was fantastic. The chicken pram, mumbo, and chopped cheese made me wish I got the large.

This pizza was excellent! We travel all over and try a lot of different foods. I also have picky eaters and everyone loved it. This wasn’t your typical pizza joint. The ingredients were fresh, tasty, and plentiful. I felt like I was eating a fine dining meal on a pizza crust. We tried every kind of pizza they make and everyone wished we had tried this on the first day, instead of our last day in town. We all agreed the next time we’re in town we will make sure to stop. Thank you for making our last day a great dining experience.

Spectacular! To the very nice gentleman who helped me this afternoon, thank you for going above and beyond! You did not have to make a coffee outside of coffee hours but you did to make sure the customer was happy. Also, the foods was delicious! 🤤

Service was abysmal. Food was incipid and underwhelming. The sandwich was overpriced for what was delivered. I would never patronize this place again. I do not recommend. Also, the aloof staff kept me waiting for about 10 minutes without acknowledgement and did not include the $2.50 chips I paid for in my order. Go elsewhere.

This pizza was extremely undercooked. The dough was raw. There was too much cheese that was pooling over the sides, which is not a good thing for Detroit style pizza. The dough/ crust cannot be described as Detroit, it’s thin and floppy. I had to put it in the oven for 15 mins to make it even edible. This pizza doesn’t even come close to Emmy Squared, and I don’t even think Emmy Squared is the best Detroit style pizza I’ve had. I ate one piece and barely even wanted to finish that. Will not be returning.
