Buy the slice and pizzeria and it's really good. It was recently rated by an Italian website to be the number two by the slice pizzeria in the USA. It's not listed on top 50 of by the pie though. Also, very minimal seating, so it's more like a takeout place. We got detroit, pepperoni, and the burrata. The sauce and cheese were ok. The bread was good initially but dried out quickly after reheating. The Detroit pizza was too sweet for our liking.
I wanted to love this place because NYTimes told me that it was a place outside of NYC where you would get a NY slice, but I would say the pizza here is a far cry from NY pizza -- I'm not really sure how NYTimes of all places could make that comparison -- it really doesn't resemble NY pizza in any possible way. The place is a also a little dingy, and service wasn't the best. I give it 3 stars though because it's a least a slice shop in DC which there aren't...
