Smoke & Mirrors Reviews
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had such an amazing time at Smoke and Mirrors Rooftop! The atmosphere is incredible and the view is absolutely breathtaking and I could literally see the White House from where I was sitting, which made the night feel unforgettable. The space itself is stunning, beautifully designed, and every detail feels elevated. Even the bathrooms stood out and honestly some of the nicest I’ve ever seen anywhere. It’s rare to find a spot that combines...read full review
Very classy. Amazing views at night. Romantic vibes. Would definitely go again!!!!
I went to Smoke and Mirrors two days in a row, Friday night for drinks and apps and Saturday just for drinks. The food was good, I liked the variety and the drinks were good. On Saturday we sat at the bar and had a few margaritas. The bartender (Alan) was very nice and made us a hibiscus margarita after we asked what kind of syrup he was using on another drink. It was really good and he was very friendly.

Smoke & Mirrors is a restaurant that offers spectacular food and a great atmosphere. The service is known to be kind and attentive, and the outdoor seating area provides a perfect and unobstructed view, good music, and heaters for comfort. Some may find the main seating inside uncomfortable, and at times the restaurant appears to be understaffed, which can lead to delays in drink and food service. The pricing is on the higher end, with a drink costing $26 and a meal for two, including appetizers and entrees, around $160 with tip. The Happy Hour makes this a great value. The food and drinks were amazing, with the pesto chicken flat bread being notably good, featuring lots of chicken and sun-dried tomatoes. The desserts, like chocolate cake and key lime pie, were very good. Customers have enjoyed their first experiences, praising the scenery, the amazing food, and excellent service. The views and ambiance are often described as astounding and beyond amazing, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere. The brunch, especially chicken and waffles with cheese grits, received high praise for its flavor and the lively DJ music that adds energy to the space.
The place has a great vibe, good view of the capital, comfortable seating, friendly staff, and a wide variety of options for appetizers, dinner, drinks, and dessert. However, some visitors noted that the space can be noisy due to the highway nearby, which might affect the overall experience. The dress code is "smart casual," but the mostly casual crowd, often in sweatshirts, suggests managing expectations for a more relaxed environment. Drinks are good but overpriced, with not much kick, and some guests experienced fruit flies, especially near the windows, which made it harder to fully enjoy the food. Despite this, many still plan to return, though they might choose seats away from the windows to avoid the insects. Overall, Smoke & Mirrors remains a popular spot for its spectacular food, great views, and friendly service, making it suitable for both casual visits and special occasions.
