I had SmokeDatt BBQ cater my family reunion. Let me tell you...the food was ON POINT!!! I was unsure of what to order for my group because I am always worried I won't have enough food. I was assured the Cookout Package would be more than enough. Not only was everything delicious but the portions were generous. I had nothing to worry about and there was even enough left over for to-go plates. The ordering process was easy and I received prompt confirmation. Delivery was on time and very professional. Every little detail was considered: condiments, utensils, paper products...even serving gloves. The food was reminiscent of what would have been home cooked at my family reunions 30 years ago by my grandmother's generation: savory, well-seasoned, and cooked with love. I can't wait until I can order again just to get some more of that mac and cheese!

I'm feeling sluggish, BBQ is the last thing I want. But then the memories of my first Smoke Datt rib returns. It looked dry, but on that day I wanted BBQ, so dry or not I'm Fat Guy from the Spy Who Shagged Me. It was like yesterday when i went in for that bite but OH! Meat falling, tongue rejoicing. Teeth! Be gentle. This bone may look like bark (I'm exaggerating the appearance) but there was no bite. A picture of Smoke Datt may show up in your App Store while looking for something else because it's Tender. It was good, somebody SMOKED DATT with prejudice towards swine. What that pig do to you?!?Fast forward, I don't want bbq because I'm already tired. Ok I give in. 3 bones, My Momma's baked Mac & Cheese (yeah, I know where that recipe came from j/k), Cole Slaw, (I usually get the baked beans) and a Diet Coke. Why diet? I like Diet. Was I tired afterwards? YES! Any regrets? Nope! Would I do it again? I can not express how GOOD the food at SmokeDatt was! We're from Boston and we don't have BBQ place here or ones that are even good. While looking for a caterer for my sister's baby shower in DC, I found SmokeDatt Barbecue. From the beginning, the owner George was so helpful and not only that honest. We wanted to try almost everything on the menu and this was only for a party of 20 people. He told me that that was way too much food for that amount of people. I loved his honesty. Most people would've taken your order and money. He helped us choose a good amount of food, always quick with responses and overall great customer service. He was also very prompt on his delivery time as well. Now on to the finger licking, amazing food! EVERY SINGLE FOOD CHOICE WAS DELICIOUS! The ribs were so tender, bbq chicken was phenomenal, Mac and cheese, shrimp, mash, brisket, the corn on the cob...I can go on but I'm getting hungry thinking about it! There was not a single negative complaint. The seasoning was there, the flavor, just everything. Most of us never had BBQ besides what we make in our on home but this was everything for first timers and people who've had bbq before. Everyone went for 2nds, 3rds and even 4ths and had nothing but wonderful things to say. I am so happy I found this place and we will definitely be using SmokeDatt again in the future!!

The food stayed warm for awhile without tray warmers. The meat was so tender, smoked and seasoned well. I willllll be utilizing Mr. George's services in the near future. My guests and I were very satisfied with our meal. There was so much food, I sent my guests home with an abundance of leftovers.Thanks again Mr. George!!!!!

"These are the best ribs I've ever had" - was said on more than one occasion by our event attendees! Phenomenal barbecue packed and almost immediately ready for serving. We ordered the ribs, chicken, Mac n cheese, and potato salad for a party of 30 and while people certainly got their fill, the portions were plentiful enough where people walked away with some leftovers (too good not to)! Delicious! The staff also had it down with having it ready when we arrived and loading it up quickly. We will be back and you should add them to your bbq rotation!!!
