The prices at the hot bar are ridiculous, but that’s not even my main issue. The breakfast menu actually has decent prices — a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is about $5, and an egg and cheese is around $4.50.
One day, I asked if they could make me a grilled cheese, and the lady said sure. It was even rang up as a bacon, egg, and cheese, which I didn’t mind at the time. But here’s where it gets confusing the one time I asked for a bacon grilled cheese (or even just bacon and cheese), she said it would be $1.50 extra for bacon.
Now maybe it’s just me, but how does that make sense? If a bacon, egg, and cheese is $5, why would a bacon and cheese be $6.50 when you’re literally giving me less — no egg, just 1–2 slices of cheese and 2 strips of bacon like before. I tried to explain it, but she acted like she didn’t understand.
It’s not about the $1.50 — it’s about consistency and logic. The pricing just doesn’t add up

I go to SoHo Cafe a few times a week during prime lunch hours and it has always been a 5 star experience. Food is refreshed often, lines are never too long and the service is friendly. I particularly love the salad bar options and the sandwich station. The sushi looks great but I haven’t tried it yet. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quick but high quality lunch for a decent price.

Food was great, cheap but good sushi. The book room was cute, but as we sat for awhile, we noticed like 80% of the books were religious. Not a bad thing, but kind of odd.

Outstanding experience all around. I was attending a business meeting across the street and happened upon SoHo Cafe & Market. The prices are very fair, food is fresh and hot, everything is clean and tidy, and the staff is very kind. For reference, I went for breakfast and lunch on two separate days and had similar experiences both times.

Hidden gem of a lunch place- not fancy, but warm, friendly, clean, and satisfying. If you miss your favorite downtown lunch buffet that disappeared during the pandemic, this is your spot. Salad bar, buffet, sandwiches, sushi, Korean specialties. Don't miss the truly lovely back room with more seating and a library full of books!
I love going to this place for lunch. It's very convenient to my office and they have good food.
Me and bf go here for lunch sometimes. It's buffet/ pay by weight style. Food is pretty fresh and tasty. They have a cute little cafe style seating area towards the back with books. I like that part.

SoHo cafe & market is so nice. They have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items , a hot bar, salad bar, sushi, fresh sandwiches, coffee, and tea. It works as a great coworkjng space with ample seating and nice quiet ambience. The food on the hot bar was fresh and well seasoned. I was able to see the selection from the breakfast and lunch, and both looked amazing. The sushi chef made beautiful sushi and everything was served à la carte. Items from the hot bar we’re priced at 9.99 a pound making it very affordable for the surrounding area. Thank you for the service!!
