This place is OG and Mexican run. I like it because they actually bake everything in house and the croissant is not stuck in my teeth. I encourage anyone in Adams Morgan to stop here. It's at the top of the hill on 18th street.

TODAY I WENT IN AND WAS THRILLED TO PLACE AN ORDER. EVER SINCE DISCOVERING THIS PLACE, I HAD BROUGHT NEARLY 7 PASTRIES LAST WEEK FOR MY CO-WORKERS TO SAMPLE, AND THEY WERE REALLY IMPRESSIVE AND AFFORDABLE. TODAY, I ORDERED COFFEE, AND USUALLY, THE LADY WHO TAKES MY ORDER ASKS IF I PREFER IT ICED OR HOT. HOWEVER, TODAY I WASN'T ASKED, AND I FORGOT TO MENTION IT MYSELF. SO, I TURNED TO THE MAN WHO USUALLY MAKES THE COFFEE AND REQUESTED THAT HE ADD SOME ICE. THE EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE AND HIS BODY LANGUAGE CHANGED COMPLETELY, AND IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING FOR ME THAT I HAD TO TELL HIM IT WAS FINE, I WOULD TAKE IT HOT. INSTEAD OF SIMPLY RESPONDING YES OR NO, HE LOOKED AT ME WITH DISGUST, AS IF ADDING ICE WOULD BE A HASSLE. PERHAPS THEY SHOULD CONSIDER EXPANDING THE SPACE; THE GIRLS ARE VERY HELPFUL, AND TRULY, THEY ARE THE REASON I KEEP COMING BACK. THEY OFFER GREAT SUGGESTIONS. I REQUESTED MY COFFEE EXTRA SWEET, BUT IT NEVER HAPPENS, AND I DON'T COMPLAIN. The guava pastry is so creamy and tasty yet not too sweet, one of my favorite. Didn’t like the ham n chess croissant, but the monkey bread!!!! Hear me out!!! It’s the best I’ve ever had so yes def recommend

Picked up an assortment of pastries for a staff meeting and wow, they were delicious! We tried the cheese pastry, guava croissant, pain au chocolat, pistachio croissant, cinnamon pecan roll and the Kouign Amann. They were a huge hit! It is always a joy to walk down the street to Soleluna for a midday pick-me-up! The service is always top notch. Thank you!
