This place knows how to treat their customers. Regularly with a very kind attitude. The food is conveniently priced, regularly delightful and clean.

My wife and I tried this place recently when we wanted some pizza but were looking to try a spot we haven't tried before. The pizza is a bit different than what you would typically expect, but it was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of french bread pizza, but replace the french bread with an airy rosemary focaccia and you have an idea of what to expect. We also tried the calamari, which despite not always being a dish that travels well (via takeout or delivery), was delicious and had a perfect light breading on it. Dessert was great too, though we can't wait to try the gelato once they're making it again.Customer service was great as well. Highly recommend trying out this hidden neighborhood spot!

home made, hand crafted, call it what you will but the chef is an artist and this modest basement establishment is truly DC's best kept Italian dining secret

Came for brunch and stayed a few hours longer than anticipated! The food was fantastic, excellent quality. You must try the gelato, apparently the owner's son went to Italy to learn how to make it. And apparently he's a great student because it was delicious. Staff was polite and attentive. Worth the visit.

A delightful place to eat. Charming space, terrific food, friendly and competent service. Chanced upon it when walking thru the neighborhood with friends from out of town. What a find!

What an amazing dining experience from beginning to end. The attentive servers and delicious food along with the low-key atmosphere made for an incredible evening for our party of ten.

I just ate there the other night with friends having come from Venice Italy. I loved the owner and the food was amazing, so authentic. I plan to go back the next time I’m in Washington DC. My friends eat there all the time. And they love it.

First time here. Small hide a way place. A real hidden gem not far from the zoo. Everything was great. The service was outstanding, the food was excellent. I would come back here next time I come down to DC.

Our dinner was fantastic & server J.C. was great! Calamari was crispy & cooked perfectly. We loved the truffle oil & mushroom pappardelli. Amaretto cheesecake w graham cracker crust was so creamy & tasty! Our server even surprised us w tiramisu for our anniversary.

We had a group of seven. All were entirely pleased with their meal. One guest had just returned from Tuscany and said that Sorriso's bolagnese sauce compared favorably - no need to travel to Italy. Everything was fresh and made from scratch. Can't wait to go back.
