I found a GEM...Can't wait to go back. The DJ was rocking and the dance floor actually had people on it. Great Vibe.

Incredible jazz music, excellent cocktails. If you love limeade, order "Lies", you won't regret it!

Great Jazz music. Awesome DJ. Drinks on the pricey side, but it's DC guess it's expected.

Small but excellent happy hour menu, good combo of DJs and live jazz with no pressure as you can listen in the bar before buying in for a table by the stage.

Love the vibe here. Young professionals looking for a good time to mingle and dance to music from the 90s to today's latest. The drinks are priced around $13+. If you plan to go for live music get a ticket or an employee will abruptly stop you to make sure that you have one. The DJ takes over around 10pm. He was great. They have waiters navigate the crowded dance floor to get you drinks but be patient because it's warm on the dance floor everyone wants something from the waiter so you'll have to wait. There wasn't a cover charge. There is a bouncer at the door letting people in a little at a time but it's pretty quick. If you're looking for a low key party then head here. And ladies I'm sure you would appreciate that most people had on a flat or low heels. Dress code was pretty comfortable, but stylish and cute.

Sotto is where I had my birthday with a super small group of friends this year.. I usually begin planning right after the New Year so I decided on Sotto because they were having a ticketed show on a Friday evening with food & drink options. My guests all bought their tickets way in advance so I began calling Sotto pretty much every Thurs-Saturday to see if my party of 10 can all be seated together.. I didn't get ahold of someone until the last Saturday in Jan and she advised me she'll take my info down so they have advance notice. Well I then stop by on my actual birthday 2/18 because I was in DC touring a museum. The hostess tells me the managers are in a meeting & she took my info down and said they will call me by end of day. Welp, no 1 called so by this time I was done with the chase to secure a table. Evening of the show, 2/21, I arrive a 1/2 hour early and told my guests the same so we can all sit together per instructions by Gabby who I 1st spoke with. She was there and MOD Tim who I expressed everything to that I thought it was a bit unprofessional no 1 called me back within a month of trying to plan my birthday. He was able to accommodate my entire party as we had front seating of the show with phenomenal performer Kenny Wesley. Almost everything was great, I had a wonderful birthday serenade and tried a wine called Lambrusco I never had before which turned into several glasses lol. Now where I have to deduct a star unfortunately was due to the lack of flavor in ALL our food and orderliness of getting into the show. They tried to form a line but people were just everywhere. The concert goers who were at the 730 show were still sitting 10-15 mins after it ended. I feel like an announcement should have been said to their group before or immediately after the show ended so they know to exit since the 9pm had to be seated. They had to bombard thru a crowd of people with tickets and people who were there for Happy Hour. Majority of my table ordered a shrimp & calamari appetizer, brussel sprouts, steak and I ordered a flat bread. It was literally bread with capers, no oil, salt, pepper, nada. I had to return it and got a normal cheese pizza instead. It's unfortunate I was the last person to eat at the table as the show ended by the time I received my new plate. Tim let us sit a little while longer b/c the venue then turns into a party with DJ Jahsonic. I loved how he mixes old school classic songs with modern up tempo beats. Perfect for an almost 40year old with an old soul lol. We stayed only about 45 mins later because the crowd was getting thicker & younger lol. Overall I enjoyed myself and grateful for Tim so I will return for future events. Parking is tough so arrive early and eat prior until the menu adds more flavor.

Cool spot on BUSY 14th Street, so on a Friday night you already know parking is ridiculous. I live too far to Uber and Valet in front shuts down at 11...so beware! Once the parking debacle was taken care of, me and my boy walked down a long flight of steps to enter Sotto. Because this is an underground establishment, the ceilings are lower than average. Both of us being 6'4",this place made us feel like giants..lol We came for a birthday celebration and the live music venue is to the rear. The bday girl was able to persuade the manager to accommodate her party of 10, which was an awesome win given the intimate (small) space! Once we settled in, everyone in our party really enjoyed the music set and the feature artist gave the lady of the hour a super cool musical bday tribute! The food is why I'm giving Sotto a 3 instead of 4 stars. I wasn't super hungry so I chose the calamari and shrimp appetizer along with an order of brussel sprouts. Both were underwhelming but the calamari and shrimp dish was especially bland. Speaking of bland, that was the sentiment from our entire party along with the flatbread being total fail. In a nutshell, this is a very popular party spot for millennials, so once the show was over, it was time for the old people to leave so that the kids can have their place back.. Lol!!!

Went last night and the band was amazing. We had just eaten dinner. So we ordered the sample of 4 desserts and dessert wine and sat at the bar. It was great! They pipe the music into the bar area but it wasn't too loud at all. The rest of the menu looked great as well. We will definitely be coming back.

Good pizza. Cool vibes. Go during happy hour for half price pizza and cocktails. Otherwise its pricy

I haven't been for the food yet, but I definitely enjoyed the music, drinks, and bountiful blessings of beautiful people dancing and enjoying the night! From my experience, it's been hard to find a nice, upscale venue in DC where people actually dance rather than stand around staring, pretentiously, at one another. This is not that!!! I've had to stop myself from going down every week since my first experience! I WILL be back

The food is fantastic and the ambiance is unmatched but the service and organization are sorely lacking - plus the manager, Timothy is colder than polar bear ice p*** in Antarctica.

This is my favorite jazz spot in DC!! This can be a cute date spot or can be a great place to hang out with your friends. The bands that perform here are amazing and so is the DJ on Friday nights!!! The food is very good as well. The last time I was there, I ordered the pizza which I believe they serve late at night. It was pretty darn good!!

One of my favorite places to listen to live music and enjoy a cocktail. I'm more of the fan of the live music than I am the cocktails. I've noticed bartenders pour cocktails from pre-made batches versus creating them on the spot. Additionally, I feel most of the drinks are over priced. However, service is extremely quick and the music is what really separates this place from the others.
