I’m pretty excited about my visit today. They had a great deal going: 50% off your soup if you forego the bowl and received the ladle of soup in your hand or in your shoe. I went with my shoe.

Turkey soup and co co bread. The bread was delicious. The soup was mediocre, no white meat only chopped dark meat with minimal vegetables. Not much better than can soup. For the price I expected better

It’s the best soups you will probably ever have, made with love by the best people. PS They have a lot more than soup.

My experience started with a simple phone call which turned out to be life changing. I was in desperate need for some real soup. Not broth. What I got was bean soup that reminds me of my Mom's. Rich and delectable!
Donna provided superior customer service. The authentic way you serve with love, grace, and passion is incomparable. Thank you for going above and beyond at a time when it was needed.
Soup Up is now my go to spot. I have since tried the Green Machine, and that too was a delight!

Have been meaning to try this place for a while given all the great reviews. It did not disappoint! And the owner Donna was helpful and very friendly to boot.

My first Soup Up experience was amazing! Super friendly staff who had a warm smile the entire time I was there. The soup was delicious, nourishing & exactly what I needed to soothe my soup craving. I’ll be back to try the next few options!

This is a place to be experienced, not just read about on Google or Yelp, hoping that you go there one day. Pictures don’t do it justice. Donna knocks it out of the park with her homemade soups, spring rolls (I couldn’t pick a favorite, they were all THAT good), and desserts. To top it off, she is kind and you can tell she puts a lot of love into her craft and enjoys sharing her gift with others, which makes it even better. I was there for my birthday and she treated me like a queen. I felt like by the time I left I had made a new friend and can’t wait to go back the next time I visit D.C. I would be here every week if I lived in the area. Prepare to go with a big appetite, because you will want to try EVERYTHING.

Visited near closing time on 12/13 and they ran out of the spicy chicken soup. Completely understood and went back the next day at 12:30PM. It was empty and I greeted who I’m guessing is the owner? Already her vibe was off putting. First thing she said to me was that they were out of the spicy chicken and they were making a different kinda of soup and I thought by lunch time they would’ve already had some soup ready with the word being in their name. She had an attitude stating they make it fresh every day (obviously) anyways it’s just not meant to be for me. Attitude for legit no reason.

Edit: owner may have me confused because I never called I just walked in. Waiting is never a problem the issue was the uncalled for attitude. It’s possible it was meant for whoever the phone call was with because it wasn’t me 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had the absolute best experience there. I was visiting a sick friend who asked for soup and so the ratings of this place and decided to Uber out of the way to take a chance on it. I was not disappointed. The owner Donna was super helpful over the phone and very accommodating. I ordered 3 different soups (beef, vegan, and chicken, figured my friend could enjoy them for a couple days) and a jerk chicken wrap for myself. Only great things to say about the soups and the wrap. Can’t wait to come back.
