food was delicious and definitely worth the drive from Baltimore. We will be back!

I order here on the 15 and I had a good experience the only thing was they didn't have one item I order before. I told the person it was OK and I didn't want nothing else. Since I order through I went thru the app and got a refund. Fast forward to today I order again today and I was waiting for an hour for no food and the driver ask the cook when will it be ready he said he don't know. I ask the driver did state why it was taking so long he said no. I told the driver if he have to leave I understand but I still want my food. My order was cancelled by the resturuant and no reason. Very unprofessional and inconsiderated.

Ticket times are a huge opportunity here

Both locations are EXTREMELY behind and late almost every time I visit this location or the Ivy city location.

No one cares how good the food is? If they have to wait 30-45 min to get it. This is not a full service restaurant. It’s Fast- Casual.
Enough staffing, prep, and kitchen leadership will drive this waiting time.

It’s disappointing…

I can’t believe this place is open…… THIS IS NASTY WORK AND NOT WORTH A $1. But I find this with a lot of places in DC late night spot. You may as well eat from Jerrys carry out. I got a grilled shrimp Po boy (which was thrown in the trash once received) and I KNOW for sure they robbing people!!! Do not eat this, you might as well make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich because the quality is of that! I can’t believe I wasted time and money ordering. Uber eats needs to remove this from their options. The delivery bag is even trifling! A black bag that you get from alcohol in, from the liquor store. The food is disgusting. I hope I’m saving y’all some money. AND Then! Their sides had the audacity to be salty! No way.

Dietary restrictions: If you want high blood pressure. Eat this!

Worst peach cobbler ever

PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEYFood was horrible. I ordered ribs. They were burnt with sauce on them. The sweet potatoe fries were mushy. The greens was a hella small portion like 2 bites. Waste of money. Never ordering again.

The food was terrible, wasn't consistent, bought 2 waffle and chicken, and 2 juices and it was $40 for both orders and drinks and am super disappointed in the quality and the food itself, and the "strawberry lemonade" was not anything near strawberry lemonade. It was some kind of Kool aid or something. Waste of my money

Ordered pickup for a bbq pulled pork sandwich that is supposedly on a brioche bun and comes with a side. Definitely not a brioche bun and there was no side. Peach cobbler is gelatinous, grainy mess. Highly disappointing. Also this location is not an actual restaurant but a locker pick up. Would not recommend.

I usually don't comment on small businesses because I know it can be hard trying to get your business off the ground but what I experienced tonight was completely unethical. I don't know who I spoke with tonight, but whoever that was, you need to learn what it means to be professional. I placed the order well before closing only to be told that the order never came through yet she confirmed the order was made what? Which one is it. Now granted I am pregnant and hungry so I did call the store to see if I can try to get them to make it right with me when really it should have been them trying to make it right and she still claims she could not assist because the kitchen was closed and all of the chefs that went home but on the GrubHub app, it says they close at 11:43 p.m. I had placed my order well before 11:43 p.m. I am blown away at the poor customer service and miscommunication.

Omg food was bomb. Real soul food. And the staff.... Baby! This is a real black business. You taste it in them sweet potatoes. Mac and cheese was good. (My sister stole most of mine off my plate) The cook did his thing. The young lady at the front is so lovely she make you want to come back. So between the food and staff I will definitely be eating here again! Thank you! Come out and give them a try. Just leave some food me!

customer service is trash and they are liars!

I ordered the loaded potatoes (3) and I was very disappointed with the quality And quantity of the big potato it was poorly prepared and much lesser product than it was before this is the second time that I’ve had a trip there the last time I was there I bought nine loaded tater and they were very good not sure I will return any further
