The concept of the place is far from elegant. Everything is overpriced and low quality. If you want to pay $15–$20 for a domestic beer, get terrible service without even a smile, and then have a mandatory tip added, this is your spot.

They even denied me a glass of water after I had already ordered and consumed there. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it — the atmosphere feels heavy and unwelcoming, and even with nice people around, it’s just not enjoyable.

This place was empty. I attempted to order two shots of tequila and was charged $60. I immediately left and couldn’t believe it. I was prepared to spend money in this place but the vibe was so low energy.

Went for a DJ set and it looks like they didn’t plan things correctly. The top floor functions as a hookah lounge, the bottom like a sports bar and the middle layer seems to be a club, except you can hear music from above in the middle and the DJs are now competing which is bad planning from the venue. Either pick a DJ for the whole place or create better sound separation. Plenty of other venues have multiple DJ floors without this problem. Facilities were new, clean and staff was friendly. $8 for a beer.

Was trying to get my friend who had been overserved into an Uber and the manager threatened to call the cops on me. I just wanted to make sure they entered the right car and we had unfortunately chosen this dump of a bar as the pick up point. In my 35 years I’ve never experienced such discourteous behavior from a manager or an establishment. Don’t waste your time or money here, there are so many other great bars along U ST.

I’m loving this little spot! Appears to be a Latin joint- they know what they are doing!! We went out to watch the Copa and ended up partying the night away!

I recently dined at Space DC Restaurant & Lounge, and I must say their exceptional customer care truly stood out. As someone with a severe allergy, dining out can often be a stressful experience. However, the staff at Space went above and beyond to ensure my meal was not only safe but thoroughly enjoyable.

Upon informing the bartender, Josue Vasquez, about my allergy, he immediately reassured me and took detailed notes to communicate with the chef, Marcel Che, and Sous Chef, James Jones. What really impressed me was their proactive approach: Chef Che personally came out to discuss my dietary restrictions and preferences. On hand, there was not such an enhancement for my dish so they crafted a special dipping sauce on the spot, ensuring it was free from any allergens and tailored to my taste.

The attention to detail and genuine concern for my well-being made the entire dining experience incredibly comfortable and pleasant. The food was delicious, and knowing that it was prepared with such care made it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Space to anyone seeking not just great food but also a restaurant that truly values and prioritizes its customers' needs.

Overall, Space exceeded my expectations, and I will certainly be returning soon. Their dedication to customer care and safety is unparalleled, making it a standout choice for anyone with dietary concerns.
